After watching the pilot and the discussion about Dyson, I was wondering: Why would killing one man (John Connor) destroy the resistance? He can't be so special that someone won't just take his place. Heck, if killing the man who created Skynet does not stop Skynet from being built, then surely John's an even less vital person than that.

Oh, and they shouldn't have been able to carry Summer on to the chair when she was knocked out. She should weigh a ton, regardless of her size.

But I liked the first couple of episodes. The action's good. And I wanna see where this goes.

Exactly. Also, I don't get it how can Cameron act very human when she first met John. Then after revealing that she's a Terminator, she's suddenly robotic. If she's an upgrade and has that ability, why not use it always? Anyway, I just try to ignore these.

I hope they start Season 2 very soon cause I'm hooked  ;)  Great season ender IMO

Yup, this one, too. I understand it's a bit of a misdirect for the viewers but wasn't it already heavily promoted that she was going to play a Terminator? So don't get much point in that.

But yes, these are nitpicking and over all I like the series.

I've watched until the 3rd episode...it's been great so far, except for some inconsistencies: if Cameron acted like a regular schoolgirl in the Pilot, managing to fool even John, then why does she act all robotic in their new school?

Thinking about time travel hurts my head...and while the gang's leap to 2007 seems possible, won't they run into their future counterparts living in that era?

im finding the storyline getting too convoluted for my taste, too many terminator models running around . i dont know if it's just me but there seems to be too much talk rather than action, and if you thought about it, because of the 2007 jump, there should be 2 john connors running around.  i need a pen and paper to explain really.

Following "conventional" rules of time travel, there will be no "future" John and Sarah in 2007 because they never go back to 1999 (was it 1999?).

But if, for example, their trip to 2007 was only temporary and they go back to 1999, then, 8 years later, they might see their "past" selves running around in 2007.

It's hard to explain, hope I made some sense.

This one's pretty good. The last few episodes really picked up the pace.I never thought I'd say this but Lena Heady gives Linda Hamilton a run for her money as Sarah Connor. Iba yung appeal ni Lena, my gash. Summer Glau's great too. Even though she's playing a cyborg, her grace and fluid movement really shines through. Advantage talaga yung ballet background niya. Looking forward to next season.

there's no future john and sarah because they literally jumped to 2007 from 1999., meaning, they skipped the years 2000-2006.  much like being transferred from the first coach of a train to the third without going through the second coach. something like that.

but, if i follow your second example of them going back to 99 and move forward through time, isnt it safe to assume that the future they left would now be what you call a different timeline. ang gulo no?

From Comics Continuum: (text with spoilers was removed)  ;D

"Fox has picked up 13 episodes of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles for the 2008-2009 television season.

Brian Green, who guest-starred as Derek in the final episodes of Season 1, will become a cast regular, joining Lena Headey (Sarah), Summer Glau (Cameron) and Thomas Dekker (John).

The show currently ranks as the No. 1 new scripted series this season among Adults 18-49.

Produced by C2 Pictures in association with Warner Bros. Television, the show is executive produced by Josh Friedman and John Wirth. James Middleton serves as consulting producer, with Toni Graphia serves as co-executive producer and Natalie Chaidez as a consulting producer."

Possible that the other one becomes an alternate reality, yes. A universe where every possible change/decision, branches off into a different reality with all possibilities existing side by side. But usually, in time travel stories, people stay in the universe they left/went to. Where changes they make in the past affect future events. Otherwise, it becomes less satisfying from a story telling point of view if things don't eventually show results of past actions.

Now I really can't wait for next season...

Garbage's Manson Joins Connor

Shirley Manson, leader singer of the pop band Garbage, has taken a regular role next season on Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Scottish musician will play Catherine Weaver, the chief executive of a cutting-edge high-tech company, the trade paper reported.

Sarah Connor Chronicles is returning for a second season in the fall after launching in midseason as the highest-rated new scripted series of the 2007-'08 season.

It stars Lena Headey as Sarah Connor, Thomas Dekker as her son, John Connor, and Summer Glau as terminator Cameron Phillips.

Just saw the second season opener last night.

This show continues to get better and better. And nagulat ako kay Shirley Manson, not having read any casting news for this season. I had to rewind to the opening credits to confirm that it was her.

And the ending ROCKS.

Available na ba sa Astro yung first season nito? Who's the distributor ba? I wanna buy. You hear me, corporate goons?! I WANNA BUY!

Somehow I knew they weren't getting rid of her so that entire part held no suspense for me. Just wondering the entire time how they were getting her back again.

Fox recently announced its midseason schedule and Terminator along with Whedon's new series Dollhouse are now earmarked for Friday timeslots. This is the infamous Friday slots. Shows on Friday usually get bad ratings so there's a big likelihood Fox wants to, uh, terminate Terminator. Too bad for Whedon, a promising new series is put on a bad night again. Can't Whedon see that Fox keeps f ucking with him?

Also read about this pre. Ganyan talaga. Nakakainis but as they say that's show business.
