if it is just a rep, then consider it as an 'offer' from him, not from abenson per se. Additional discounts go through approval process from branch and if required from abenson owner. happened to me. rep got an offer. branch manager cannot accomodate, then they have to seek approval from owner. owner declined and offered lesser discount from what the rep offered =)

goodluck though...

went there last night and finally decided to get the unit that was offered to me, sad part is they said all of the units being offered with that promo was sold out and worse when I inquired why these units was on promo, the guy which I spoke to said those units were used on display although for a very short time  ???  ???  ??? at least he was very honest. Unlike the lady who was trying to talk me out of getting the Aquos and get a Samsung (she just left the shop when I arrived).  This scenario was likewise not explained to me by the lady who was trying to sell me a Samsung  ???  ???  ??? or maybe I just did not ask the right question  :(

Sorry guys if i created much confusion, I myself was so disappointed when I was there at the shop last night. Again, sorry!

Thanks mate! Superb performance from the V200A comparing it to my previous HDTV which is the S71 and another good thing, I got the black model. :D Looks more elegant than the silver finishing of the Bravias.  :P

guys,

i decided and bought yesterday the ff:
   - R18 at 65K 24 months 0% int
   - pioneer dvd player dv-490v with hdmi output that automatically upscale to 1080 the video output of the ordinary dvd source from 480. i got this for 6.2 cash

i bought them in anson parksquare.  so far ok naman performance and i was able to compare the upscaling functionality of the pioneer when i connected it thru hdmi to lcd and then i connected by philips 642 and use it as PIP and mas mataas talaga ang kayang ibato ng pioner due to hdmi.

yun nga lang kasi ang pioneer e dts out lang while yung phiips 642 e may dts decoder pero oks rin lang kasi yung AV receiver ko naman e may dts decoder na rin.

burn-in period pa lang....

denis.

Congratulations on your new R81 Denis!  Enjoy your new toys!

Now that you have your 32" unit, if you start to see samples of the 40" or above panels, look the other way.   ;D

enjoying it to the most!

I'm watching concert DVDs grabe ganda lalo na yung sa EAGLES!  ganda talaga.  yun nga lang up to
-40db yun volume ng AVR ko para di magalit kapit bahay kasi sound trip ko gabi e mga 11PM onwards...

but I noticed that may konting pixalation pa rin sya unlike sa Toshiba Regza.  Mababalang yung contrast ratio ng Toshiba pero na perfect na nya yung sa pixalation.  was able to compare it coz my brother had a Toshiba Regza 32WL66 (series) and mas ok ang pixalation nya kahit sa fast scenes but then mas maganda lang ang clarity ng R18 kasi mataas ang contrast ratio.  kahit may movie plus ang R18 tingin ko mas ok pa rin ang pixalation ng toshiba.

Ok rin lang kasi i intend to upgrade in 2 yrs sa plasma na.
regards,
denis

One good thing about peeps like me who haven't bought an LCD yet is that we don't feel any regret everytime we pass by an appliance store offering promo prices on their latest gadgets...

But of course, the real reason is that we still have to source the funds...hehehe...anyway, I'm sticking to my Dec. 2007 target for purchasing one.  By that time, we can get a 40-incher at the price today's 32"

I'm contemplating between a Sony Bravia 32S200A vs. Samsung Bordeaux 32R81 32 inch LCD.

Tempting kasi yung freebie HT ng Sony altho I don't actually need it anymore kasi may HT setup na ako - Klipsch sound system + OppoDigital DV-981HD 1080i/p HD Upscaling DVD player (best of its class performs like High end Denon's - see at http://www.oppodigital.com). Tapos pag cash super baba bigay and I have the option of selling the HT system to an officemate who will buy it at 10K kaya lalo na makamura.

The Sammy naman ganda ng clarity and it is a newer model with newer technology/features.

For me I would prefer performance so I am inclined more on the Sammy for now.

What do you guys think? the Sony or the Sammy?
