hi! im looking for an lcd from 32" to 42" for movie watching, ps3 gaming. my budget is 120-130K..

if by any chance you want to get a toshiba.. ditch the 68e and get the
Toshiba Regza 32A3000E

i saw a recent post here @ pdvd someone was quoted for less than 100t for a toshiba 37in 68 series

contrast ratio, i say 3000:1 yung minimum (or its just me), resolution - 720p, 1080i or 1080p.. it really depends on you.. HDMI ports..

1. most important - can you appreciate the image quality that the screen is showing
2. resolution - 1080p the best, 720p secondary choice.. you will most probably settle for 720p as 1080p model are out of your budget
3. hdmi ports - minimum of 1.. more the merrier
4. contrast ratio - dynamic 3000 or more...
5. brightness - at least 500.. 800 even better
6. refresh rate - 8ms at least... 6 or 5 even better
7. tuner -  single analog tuner is standard.. dual is better... an hd tuner is mostly useless in the phils. unless it supports DVB-H (i might wrong on exact spec name)

nagpunta na ako sa store at eto yung mga nakita ko:
Toshiba regza37w68e = 62,608
Hitachi 42pd9800 = 82,160
Lg 37lc2rr = 71,793

marami pa akong nakita kaya lang hindi ko na matandaan. may tanong lang ako..ano bang pagkakaiba ng 1080i sa 1080p? sabi sakin yung 1080p ay nasa above 42in lang daw.
pero meron bang 42in na plasma or lcd capable nya ang 1080p?

totoo ba yung price for 42pd9800? (*various curses*) bibilhin ko na yan!

1080i is interlcaed.. uhhm mas-hina resolution niya kaysa 1080p in simple terms lang.

mga lcd at 37 inch na kaya 1080p.. pero di available locally.

yes meron lcd na 40inch at plasma na 42 inch (wala plasma 40inch local) na kaya 1080p pero mahala sobra..
cheapest nakita ko local is a grey market china brand 42 inch lcd sa cardinal audio @ 120k.

cguro kaya mura kse walang tax. anyway pati din harman kardon na 640 or 645 nasa 50k pesos pag convert ko...mura din...nakakita din ako ng power amp na macintosh ata..ngayon lang din ako nakakita..

ahh uae pala... grabe na-paisip ako kung paano benta ko yung lcd ko now haha

sony x series, samsung f71 series for lcd's are 1080p

im a bit slow on the plasma side for 1080p... can plasma pro's help out :)

yup, I think only 800:1 contrast ratio but should be ok for bedroom use. How much there?

Guys nakita nyo na ba yung Sharp 20" LCD TV na naka-display sa infomax theatre mall? may HDMI port na rin, yan sana balak ko bilhin for my PS3 kaso at 32K price tag parang mahal, ano recommend nyo LCD TV with HDMI na around 30K? or saan pa merong mas cheaper na Sharp 20" LCD TV aside sa infomax? thanks
