grabe universal is only exclusive studio support for hddvd and most, I can say all of their recent releases suck on PQ, It may be they are just getting these out just for the hell of it because they will give up soon. They deserve it. The way they are going hddvd deserve to lose. Im frustrated na, If older movies like the ones released by warner and paramount can have great transfers I dont know why universal cant do this. Isnt there a new shakeup in universal. Well hopefully they all get fired. I dont know maybe I woke up on the wrong side of the bed but im fuming mad...

With the recent bad reviews from HighDefDigest, parang Universal is trying to save a sinking ship with more ballast to make it sink faster.

Yeah I know...some of the top management in Universal should either get their brains cleaned or butts kicked!

It's really pointless releasing catalog movies blindly for the sake of increasing the HD DVD tittles. $:-\$
Geez....Universal will doom HD DVD if poor PQ persists...

Presented in 1080p using the VC-1 codec, this is unfortunately another in a series of sub-par transfers from Universal. As I speculated in my recent review of 'Liar Liar,' it would seem that the studio has rushed some of its more recent HD DVD catalog titles to market, without giving each individual transfer the time and effort needed to ensure superior picture quality.

Even with the subpar pq, I will still buy universal titles, namely bourne Identity, Shaun of the dead, Dragonheart, Bruce almighty, Liar Liar, Midnight run, Frighteners, Mallrats and 40 yr old virgin..The Game (maybe)

I really wish the pq is at least 4 star, but I guess cant have everything 4 to 5 star. the great thing (which I think is a blessing in disguise) is I dont have any of these in SD. I love these movies and to me a must have.

Yes I agree, if you don't own those movies yet in SD then it's worth considering the HD version.
