not that simple, but free and powerful : VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod ;)

@Lantis:

Do you have any idea(s) how to use VirtualDubMod? I have the same dilemma with the threadstarter, I want to edit/cut some of my .avi files so that it would be smaller. My purpose is to edit the video and delete the first (intro) and last scene (casts of characters) to make the .avi file smaller and if possible, as a .avi format too that can be burned and be readable to a home player DVD.

Thanks.

Hi,
     Bit late now, but for simple editing try Avidemux :

http://fixounet.free.fr/avidemux/

Runs on linux, Macs & windows

Supports loads of formats.

Also has lots of filters

Cheers, Ian
