JFK: Ultimate Collector's Edition Blu-ray

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is reissuing JFK in a 4-disc Ultimate Collector's Edition box set that includes a 44-page photo book and other numerous collectibles. Director Oliver Stone's controversial Academy Award-winning drama stars Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, Joe Pesci, Laurie Metcalf, Gary Oldman and Michael Rooker. The Ultimate Collector's Edition is set to arrive later this year.

It's been almost two full years since the last Star Wars re-release, so the time is ripe for the new Star Wars trilogy DVD/Blu-ray combo packs that are set for release on October 8, 2013. Amazon listings for the prequel and original trilogies recently popped up, and while details are scarce right now, both listings do promise "Never-Before-Released Audio Commentary for Each Movie from Archival Interviews with Cast and Crew."

Wolf Children Blu-ray

FUNimation Entertainment officially announced the Blu-ray release of director Mamoru Hosoda's Wolf Children at Otakon 2013. The successful, award-winning animated film arrives on Blu-ray on November 12th.

The critically acclaimed Wolf Children surpassed Hosoda's Summer Wars at the Japanese box office to become Japan's fifth highest grossing film in 2012, and won numerous awards, including the Japan Academy Prize for Animation of the Year and the Audience Award at the New York International Children's Film Festival.

Yes, but the 3D edition only has the theatrical length movie & has no special features.

Actually, they did announce that there will be The Hobbit Extended Editions way in advance. Also, I think you can already guess & expect that there will be Extended Editions just based on the previous LOTR releases. If you can hold out to maybe around 2015, I bet they will eventually release an Extended Edition Trilogy Boxset.

I totally missed that announcement. Anyway, it's what the studios want: prey on unwitting consumers and squeeze out every cent from their pockets by releasing different versions of a movie in BDs and other media.

Thats unfortunate. Ako naman I knew it was coming but I still bought the Best buy exclusive, watched it then sold it right away. You can still sell your copy tho.

It's a total cash grab like with the LOTR sets and the Dark Knight trilogy. Baka magkaset pa ng LOTR Trilogy+ The Hobbit Trilogy in the future. Milking the cow.haha

Mary Poppins: 50th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray

Walt Disney Home Entertainment has revealed the 50th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray release of director Robert Stevenson's Mary Poppins, starring Julie Andrews, Dick Van Dyke, Glynis Johns, David Tomlinson, Matthew Garber, Karen Dotrice and Jane Darwell. The live-action Walt Disney classic makes its Blu-ray debut on December 10th.

The Killing Fields Blu-ray

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced the 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray release of director Roland Joffé and writer Bruce Robinson's The Killing Fields, which stars Sam Waterston (TV's The Newsroom), Haing S. Ngor (Heaven & Earth) and John Malkovich (In the Line of Fire). The Academy Award-winning drama is based on the true events surrounding the 1975 Khmer Rouge takeover of Cambodia, and makes its Blu-ray debut on January 7, 2014.

The 30th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray release of The Killing Fields arrives in 36-page Blu-ray book packaging, which includes rare photos, production notes and other materials.
