" Oppo 980H Dvdp <=> WD TV Media Player - Comparison "
Personal Impressions:
Tested 2 movies for video comparisons; WD shown widescreen that made the image stretched or
squeezed whilst it shown fullscreen on Oppo without any sign of distortion. PQ is almost
identical, (both were set at 1080p display output) if there's any difference it's really
hard to spot-on.In audio presentaion, Oppo has better background and sound effect
resolutions which sounded faint or some completely inaudible on WD.
Here's the twist of the story, in music audio WD has more dynamic with better LF
extensions, Midbass and upper frenquency both sounded the same. If you like laid back with
a touch of smoothness in sound character oppo is the best fit and for rock or heavy bass
music I recommend WD.
