        This is really a real treat for those who doesn't have a cable and loves watching old tagalog '80's movies. It is currently being shown every M-W-F with Sundays as well. It focuses on Viva movies during the '80's and those that I've been meaning to watch just to have a restrospect.

         Movies being shown recently were Muling Buksan ang Puso, Bakit Iisa Lamang ang Puso, Ang Lahat Ng Ito Pati Na Ang Langit, Huwag Mong Itanong Kung Bakit, Pangarap na Ginto, Kung Kasalanan Man (really looking forward to see this again), Working Boys, Rizal sa Dapitan, Huwag Mong Salingin ang Sugat Ko. Some being shown are already on vcds at least, however, I wonder why they do not release these in dvds or vcds at least? Like Kung Kasalanan Man.Those were the days when komiks adaptation rule. Potboilers they may be but those are our guilty pleasures during the '80's when we do not want to watch weighty dramas with heavy socio-political undertones for a change.

          Last night, I have a grand time watching TVJ with Vilma in 'Doctor, Doctor We Are Sick". Corny but fun.

           Even if I have a copy of KUNG MAHAWI MAN ANG ULAP, I still managed to watch it's airing on Sinemax last night. Ang linaw ng quality ng movie kumpara sa kopya ko, however, it suffers from excessive cuts. Kung kabisado mo ang bawat eksena ng kahit anong pelikula, malalaman mo ang pinakaspecific scenes na pinutol. The last time I saw this movie on television was in Channel 13 as well during the late '80's.

          I enjoyed watching DOCTOR, DOCTOR WE ARE SICK,  SEND IN THE CLOWNS and MA'AM MAY WE GO OUT? all of which my family watched in the theaters during the '80's. The 'copycat' scene taken from BITUING WALANG NINGNING and was parodied by Vic Sotto and Val Sotto in SEND IN THE CLOWNS is one for the books in TVJ's foolish antics!
