Yup. It works with my pioneer 400 1080p DVD upscaler, na hindi gumana yung pioneer plasma 427xhg na sabi 1080p daw.

nope, its native resolution is only 1,024 x 768. A full HD plasma will have a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. And getting a 1080p 42 plasma will cost you about P240k so its not yet economical unless you can easily afford that amount. But this set will produce about 720p thru upscaling. And its price is very good.
84" 100" 120" 150" Motorized or Manual Projector Screens still available. Just pm.

kt i think mayron itong internal upscaler. have seen this unit in action  ;) i suggest you go to Theaterworks mayron dun display, you can also test it side by side vs the Hitachi 9800. Then decide which one to buy  ;D

vtec3, so with its internal upscaler, does it mean that i can go without using a dvd upscaling player? or better parin ang dvd player na upscaling?  is this unit full 1080p na? tnx

hi, at what frame rate does the pio 400 play a 1080p? i understand the pio427 only accepts 1080/24 signal. is this the same unit as yours

New owner here and just got it last Sunday. Really couldn't decide on what to buy and had a Toshiba LCD, Hitachi Plasma and the Panasonic play a movie side by side. After more than an hour comparing the picture quality of the 3 units, I was convinced the Panasonic was it. Did not hurt that I only got it for 79K  ;D. I really could't wait and opted not to have it delivered and just loaded it to my SUV.

Now I really couldn't decide what High Def DVD player to get. Blu Ray or HD-DVD?

some of the features of this model:

      *        Inputting and outputting 1080p video signals without altering their natural specifications.
      *        Up-converts SD video signals to 1080p signals. Delivers pictures as beautiful as those from HD video signals.
      *        The equivalent of 3,072 steps of gradation express finely nuanced images.
      *        Increased luminous efficiency achieves maximum contrast of 10,000:1.

note sure about upscaling without using an upscaling dvd player. reasonable din naman yung price now ng mga upscaling player, if you are getting one I suggest you consider Pioneer 600 upscales upto 1080p  ;)

by the way I am selling na my MS speakers. not decided yet kung ano ang ipapalit ko  ;D kumusta na yung MS mo  ;D

wow you got the Pana 42" for 79k a very good deal indeed  ;)

the reviews in the US says that BR is outselling HD 2:1. if you have a relative in the US ask them to buy a PS3 may free 5 BR titles (although limited na  ;))

Mine is pana 42PV70 and pioneer DV400 DVD, works perfectly together.  What I mean is that, Automatic Center agent tried the pioneer dv400 with their pioneer 427hxg plasma in 1080p mode, then blank screen came out. Hindi gumana! 1080i mode lang pwede yung pio plasma.

Thanks. I'm planning to go there this September and buy from there. Ok naman ba to use a PS3? Or is it much better to buy a dedicated Blu-Ray payer? Any difference in performance.

Thans kt. I bought it sa Ambassador in Shang. The 50" I think costs 40K-50K more cant remember the price. Sa Listening in Style sa Shang also sells it 89K 12 mos. 0% pag cash 82K. I was supposed to buy there, but kasi thats were I compared the Panasonic vs Hitachi and Toshiba pero when I was about to withdraw, doon nakita ko mas mura sa Ambassador.

Was contemplating on the 50" unit cause tempting yung price, but it was really too big and the savings I got will be used to purchase a high def dvd player.

got this from panasonic sg site:

"Up-converts SD video signals to 1080p signals. Delivers pictures as beautiful as those from HD video signals. The processor converts signals of present TV broadcasts and DVD software to 1080p high-definition video signals. It up-converts the video signals without causing any loss in the signal or image details. It also applies progressive conversion to upgrade 1080i high-definition video signals to 1080p signals. This allows VIERA to render pictures that are more beautiful than the original."

so meron na nga sya internal upscaler? better pa ba yun if paired with an upscaling dvd player n the tv upscales as well?

wow, good price! I just called Ambassador-Shang to confirm and they give that price even over the phone (i mean without the benefit of haggling). card price at 12 months 0% is about 90K.

kt,

goodluck to us. i was going to get a 32" LCD, but if the price of the 42pv70 keeps dropping (especially the card price), i will be sorely tempted to get this!  ;D keep me posted if you find a better price elsewhere. i want this on a 12 months 0% interest promo sana.

Madali lang naman silang kausap kulitin mo lang si Beth (yung owner).  ;D Sa Listneng in Style 89K den and you can opt for 12 mos 0%. Hindi talaga totoo yung 0% installment. The prices nowaday especially for bug ticket items are marked up already para when they say 0% installment the interest is already factored into the price. Kaya its easy for retailers to give discounts pag cash.

re 0% interest, i agree. but, in a sense, the prices of Listening in Style and Ambassador and even Theatreworks is "truer" than those offered by the regular appliance stores, who sell this same model at 109k or more. so their 0% interest promo is a bit easier to swallow.and kudos to them.

have not bought pa at this time pero seriously contemplating on getting a PS3 rather than a dedicated BR Player. There is a thread somewhere here sa PDVD and most of the comments tend to favor the PS3  ;)
