From BIEN_CRESCINI, a satisfied PinoyDVD member:

"Hi, Got a free Spyder Colorimeter Calibration for my Pana 42pv7 from Sir Vic.
The service is given for free if Pana Plasma is purchased from his store.
I didn't buy my Pana from him but earned it when I referred some friends to purchase from his store.

Anyway after the calibration the picture quality became a LOT BETTER.

Basically what the calibration does is for the Computer Application to suggest settings to accurately
fine-tune the picture according to room lighting environment.

Compared to my previous "SUBJECTIVE" tuning of the settings - I like the computer suggested settings.

Thanks again Sir Vic for the free calibration."

To depend on the naked eye in adjusting the TV picture settings is a hit or miss affair. To get a right picture, we really need scientific picture calibration. This solution not only optimizes your viewing experience but also protect TV from burn-out due to over saturated brightness and contrast.

Yes, Bien is right. You too can also avail of this free TV calibration when you buy Panasonic 42PV7 or 42PV70 from us.

For other particulars call Sights and Sounds at 634-1789 to 90. Or call mobile 09175413491.

We have done most of the calibration to our customers who stay in the South.  We will call you today for the schedule here in Mtro area.  Thanks for reminding.

Sir, My Panny 42PV70 is in Manila.  Though I did not purchased it from you, can I avail the Spyder calibration for a fee?  If this is possible, please contact me at 0919-2205626.

Thanks!

After reading this topic, I've finally decided to buy this unit.

I would just like to commend the great deal and service I got from sir Vic of S&S. Just a side story of how good a deal I got from him: i bought the unit last thursday, unfortunately I was not able to check the forum up until today, it turned out there's a lower deal from what I got which was posted wednesday last week and I got my unit Thursday of last week. To make the long story short, Sir Vic still gave me the lower deal even if I have paid already the unit, I'll past by his shop to get the rebate I got. :) Thanks a lot! More power to you sir! :)

S&S's Vic is one of a kind. I had problems with my LCD delivery being so late last December and Vic went out of his way to assure me that all is well. This very sincere guy deserves whatever success his reaping. I just hope that other stores will have the "Customer First" attitude that he shows.

I am one very satisfied client of Vic from Sights and Sounds.  The group buy discount promo that he initiated in another PDVD thread was so successful that other vendors had no other choice but to belatedly come up with their own price reductions.  Aside from giving the best prices, Vic likewise offers excellent after-sales support through his free computerized Spyder screen calibration, 3-year after-sales support, etc.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend his shop to all the members here - especially the newbies.

Hi Vic,

Can we schedule the calibration for this Saturday morning or afternoon instead?  I have to be present when it's done.

Thanks,

those who have the 42PV70, can anyone please share the dimensions of the pedestal?  width and depth please.  and the total weight of the plasma as well

I have a sabre video rack the AVS 501 Luna but i dont know for certain if the dimensions of the pedestal will fit into the rack.  The rack I think has a width of 22 inches, depth maybe around 16 inches.

I just had my tv calibrated with the spyder pro gadget by Paul from Sights and Sounds and here is the result..

The picture became even better! Skin tones look more natural this time and parang cinematic na yung feel when watching dvds. Yun lang pala lacking kaya di ko ma achieve yung pic and color that i was looking for when I watch from a movie theater! The whole process took only 20 mins to finish. Buti na lang sa inyo ako bumili Sir Vic and thank you ulit. Kayo lang ang may offer na ganito. Great store, great service!

Hi guys , first post  :)

Just want to know about the spyder pro gadget that every body's talking about.

Pano ba yun gagamitin ang gadget?
Is it a mechanical stuff that will mechanically tunes your panel? or a software that will override your settings to optimize your tv?
I have this 32R81 and very happy with it. Can i see a big deference after the calibration?

Thanks
glenn

The sensor (as shown in the picture) which is connected to a laptop will placed on the surface of your tv screen and then an accompanying calibration dvd will be played. After the tests are done, the computer will give the recommended settings that will optimize your picture and color suited for your particular TV and ambient lighting conditions. I think only Sights and Sounds offers this tv pic calibration. I got this service for free when I bought my plasma from sir Vic  ;)
