Pisay played to a sold-out/jampacked U.P. Cine Adarna last Tuesday. Lots of Pisay students. Quite an experience when majority of the audience relate very much to the film. Lots of jeering and cheering!
Retro look was o.k. except for the "aging" factor. i maybe asking too much. "aging" effect-high degree of difficulty i know, but 4 years of adolescence and they still look like freshmen!
Bit bothered also by Charlie Peralta's camera work and color grading (rou-mo-rounin). Also wondered why Aureus shot it in 4:3 format or was it just the DVD copy?
But I really enjoyed watching the film. He has consistently maintained a certain style and flavor. It has been there since his 'Huling El Bimbo' music video. Congrats to Aureus, cast and crew!!!
