Author Topic: Onkyo trx 605 Purchase and semi-group buy (Read 18406 times)

Hi guys,

i'm 99% made up my mind to purchase a onkyo 605 at jr.com and have it ship it thru JAC.

Est. cost per unit with shipping costs is about 24-26k + $10 handling fee.

Just in case if anyone is interested also in buying this unit, just post or pm me, so that we can have it ship together and split the $10 handling cost.. and maybe by sheer luck.. get a better shipping price from JAC (I wish) or more realistically get a good volume order price from JR.com

for those interested, please pm me your contact numbers so that we can coordinate.

also, we might need help on the credit card department if a lot of us buy, cause my credit limit isnt that high.
We need to purchase from the same location, for logistical purposes... currently best overall for 605 is JR.com

3. yygoob - Onkyo 605??

I'd like your comments guys...
do you want to wait and see the prices and stock for the 605 when it coems to home theater works of nemsis

well i work in makati and I normally have to pick it up at the JAC office in makati anyways

my eyes light up with the 805 because it has 7.1 pre-outs, but Im pretty shocked by the weight....its has a shipping weight of 66lbs!!!!!

thats around 16k in shipping alone!! nyikes....

7 series has pre outs too. Sayang lang Onkyo only has this feature on higher models.

yup...705 is an option too...lighter pa by 20lbs at least.....but 805 has Burr-brown for its DAC's

Kala ko ba sa Kotse ka naman nag a audio?

Get the 705 (since you got power amps) & buy a good CDP w/ the balance, it will still sound better IMO.

cost difference between 705 and 805 is about 100-200 dollars.. thats like 4.5-9k.. its only the weight that makes cost shoot up!!

shipping weight of 705 is around 30-35lbs.........the 805 has around 65lbs.........doble shipping costs.......sa Hongkong and Macau sunod sa release ng US, I just hope we will get it here sooner too........

705 ordered from a different website, with JAC shipping is at about 44k pesos

been trying to call toyama... line is busy as hell...

ok just called toyama.

no xx5 series available, officially 604 jsut arrived with them soo... that means 605 and most of the xx5 series are a long ways of.

personal analysis...

approx. 25k for 605

pay approx. 1.8 times and get 705 ....

705 gives thx, a little more watted, zoning.. and ??pre-outs??... hmm..

grabe naman......604 just arrived for them?? Thats a long ways off nga yung mga bagong hdmi models........hmmmmm.....allen what retailer do offer 705 now?? amazon and JR wala pa kasi....

Manila, Ive inquired thru Sir Nemesis, may padating raw sya ng mga Onkyo receivers by September, though he is not yet sure kung kasama ang 805 dun

grabe 604 pa lang ang released sa Pinas?
dito sa SG nung bumili ako ng 659, sabay sabay na narelease ung 605 and 805...
nung day na nag-audution ako ng 805, mga 20 boxes pa sa labas ng shop and 605s, kinabukasan pagbalik ko ubos na!!!
parang pancakes lang nila binenta...

pero ako, 659 pa rin binili ko hehe
un kasi dating pangarap ko na receiver e =)

kapresyo lang niya ang 605 @ SGD750 ata nun

EXACTLY. Thats the way Toyama does it accdg to the sales people. Sometimes they already have the new models in stock but do not release it until their old inventory is sold out.
