the mains can also be 45 degrees right? so it's possible in some layouts that both are in the same position, iba lang height?
so from a typical height of ears (39-42"), how high are the height surrounds (measured to tweeter height correct?)?
also, meron po ba kayong formula for me to use to figure out the degrees using triangular geometric formulas?
before i printed out the degrees and then used a string
The mains are at around 30 degrees. Heights at 45 degrees and Wides at 60 degrees.
Madali lang kasi pag 30 degrees, one side of triangle is twice the other side while pag 60 degrees, reverse sya. Kapag 45 degrees, each side of triangle is same length.
For mains:
Main listening position (MLP) at center line. Take distance to side wall. Measure double that distance along the side wall to the front. At that position, place a string towards the MLP. Place masking tape along that line. You can locate your mains anywhere along that line.
For heights:
MLP at center line. Take distance to side wall. Measure same distance along side wall towards the front. At that position, measure distance to MLP. Height of tweeters is same distance + height of ears.
For wides:
MLP at center line. Take distance to side wall. Measure half the distance along side wall towards the front. At that position, place a string towards the MLP. Place masking tape along that line. You can locate your wides anywhere along that line.
