Got word from Jimmy Lim of Astro that they will be having a dvd warehouse sale at the podium starting Aug 15-20 so kita kits.

He did not advise of what are to be included on the sale. But i doubt that the newer titles will be included, probably a lot of boxsets.

As per Astro, warehouse sale will be Warner and Magnavision releases. I'd expect TV box sets as well so unahan na tayo sa Dallas and Wonder Woman!

just confirmed with astro that promo prices would still be slashed down e.g. P199 to P175. Sad thing is I might not be able to go as I burnt my wallet and purchased a new lens for my dslr. $:-\$ Oh well, probably in the ayala sales. To those who will go early, kindly post whats included...it still might be worth it after all.

Just got back from the Astroplus Podium sale. They displayed the on-sale DVDs on top of cardboard boxes. I was able to grab a number of Warner titles originally priced at 275, now priced at 199.

1. Heat
2. LA Confidential
3. The Love Affair
4. Before Sunrise
5. House of Flying Daggers
6. A Very Long Engagement

I also grabbed a copy of the 2-Disc Shawshank Redemption. Not on sale though, but priced cheap at 275.

It was a good sale! There were a couple of other titles I wanted to get, but decided against at the last minute. I had to restrain myself a bit.

ill try to pass by later. i was there yesterday and had a couple of 299 buy 3 take 1 free discs.

i wanted 2 of them...though 7 lang yata lahat ng kasama sa 3+1 na yun...and i just want 2...sad

Im a little bit pissed at Astro Podium.

I called them at 1pm today asking for this title and the lady who answered the phone asked somebody if there are still stocks. The other person said that indeed there's still some copies but all of them are "hawak na ng customers nila". She also said stocks just arrived just this morning.

But just now, my GF informed me she called Astro Podium a few minutes after they opened today and the person that answered her call said "wala na po, ubos na". This lady also informed her that stocks were delivered to them yesterday (take note: not this morning).

Went there this afternoon. Almost all DVDs are 'on sale', except for the newer titles.

I was able to get a copy of the 2-disc Shawshank Redemption for Php275. Dunno if it was the last copy but it came from the counter. Someone bought 4 copies in the morning. Most probably a PinoyDVD member.

Weird pricing for Warner with regards to Ocean's 11 & 12. The boxset, which contain both movies was selling for Php750 (down from Php895). But the individual copy of the movies goes for Php199, thus Php398 lang for both. Got the individuals, hopefully the copy is the same as the boxset.

Overall, the pickings are good for those who want to complete their collection or for those who are just starting up. But for me, medyo slim na.

btw boxsets galore as well for warner titles but not as slashed down as before.

Unfortunately Casino Royale still wasnt included although Ghost Rider 2 disc and MI 3 has been reduced to P700. $:-\$

The highlighted text made my whole day. I only hope this is true. I hope there are still tons of this title where Warner is keeping them.
