Pioneer DV400 Audio Settings help
« on: Aug 29, 2007 at 11:17 AM »
Hi,

my dv400 is connected to my 32" samsung r81 via hdmi cable...and when watching movies...dialogue volume is too low. does anyone have proper settings for this one? im just using my tv's speakers btw.

set hdmi audio to auto (will this downmix 5.1 dts and dd properly?), digital to off (no optical connected), tried setting dialogue to high (is this for 5.1 center channel only?), tried playing around with the virtual surround on/off settings too.

my main problem is that to hear some voices...i need to set the volume to a high setting and i cant do that at night as i may wake up the others and the neighbors. sometimes, dialogue is also muffled and indiscernible.

anyone have decent settings for the dv400 when connected to just the tv via hdmi? or do i play around with the tv's audio settings as well.

thanks.
