Also, i've been reading about good responses from other users, about service and support.

I would like to buy my next Tv at your shop. My initial selections are

1) Avision 42" LCD with 120Hz motion but seems no longer available(can you reconfirm)
2) Panasonic 42x20 but 720P???
3) LG 32LE5500  (best of between plasma and LCD???)

Please help me decide...
My inclination is with LG at the moment for cost & performance consideration ???

1) Avision 42" LCD without 120Hz motion...Though not a popular brand, this TV is a value for money TV that is great for all kind of media presentation, especially for gaming.
2) Panasonic 42x20 but 720P...best for TV and bluray movie watching. Since plasma has image retention issue, gaming is not recommended for this type of panel.
3) LG 32LE5500...a bit pricey because of led panel, but great for movie and gaming.  :D :D

1. LG LD460
2. Samsung C550
3. Toshiba RV700

Except that Samsung C550 has crystal bezel, the C550 and C530 have the same picture quality.

Toshiba Full HD TV 32" is RV series while the 40" has only AV and CV series. Except that CV has picture in picture feature, RV, CV and AV are made with the same video engine, and therefore all have the same picture quality.

Here are the impression of the above TVs made by Carlo on the thread topic 1st quarter 2011 T.V picks! :

LG 42LD460 at P38000.*
PRO: Balanced color; good black level; crisp and detailed picture.
AGAINST: Backlight bleeding from four corners disrupts the black bars that run along the top and bottom of the screen when watching a video.
VERDICT: A good high definition TV held back by backlight bleeding issue.

Samsung LA40C530 at P35500.*
PRO: Accomplished picture from most sources;  adequate connectivity: 3 HDMI ports, USB port for picture and movie playback.
AGAINST: The standard-definition only tuner delivers coarse, noisy, and edgy picture; poor sound from built-in speakers; 'torch' bright picture requires the user to settle for less bright level picture setting. You need to have a grip on picture calibration. Otherwise, you lose the ideal color balance setting.
VERDICT: A compitent mid level/ middle ground LCD with good features.

Toshiba 40AV700 with free AV Link Media Player at P38000.*
PRO: Fully loaded TV: auto signal booster to enhance standard-definition TV reception, 4 HDMI inputs and a USB port; built-in speakers sound reasonably dynamic and dramatic.
Realistic color; deep and insightful black level.
AGAINST: Dark scene reveals a touch of noise at times.
VERDICT: A model with accurate colors and excellent detail attention--plus the bonus of superior connectivity and functionality – Good "all-arounder"!

The above impressions seem to point to Toshiba as a better TV.  :D :D

are Devant LCD/LED TVs any good?

Unless you are really on the budget, I suggest you disregard the generic TVs like Devant, Ganzklar, Hyundai, IStyle, AVision, Daiwoo, etc. Devant is not a TV manufacturer. Devant is simply a marketing Company.

Devant outsourced its product from China OEM companies. OEM or original equipment manufacturer refers to the company that originally manufactured the product. Devant purchased the OEM products and retail them under the brand name Devant.  ;)

For the budget P25K, you have the following options:

LG 32LD460 at P22500. This FULL HD TV delivers balanced color; good black level; crisp and detailed picture. However, this great TV is held back by backlight bleeding issue.

Panasonic TH-L32c20 at P17500. This TV delivers vibrant color; impressive clarity and sharpness with bluray; excellent black level. However, this TV lacks USB connectivity.

Samsung LA32C530 at P22K. This TV offers fair picture from most sources; it has adequate connectivity: 3 HDMI ports, USB port for picture and movie playback. However, this TV presents a bit bright picture which might put you uncomfortable in prolong hours of movie watching.

Toshiba 32AV700 at P18000. This TV is fully loaded with features: auto signal booster to enhance standard-definition TV reception, 4 HDMI inputs and a USB port; built-in speakers sound reasonably dynamic and dramatic. It displays accurate colors and excellent detail image.

From the above, I could see Toshiba 32AV700 as the best TV. Nevertheless, unless you are into gaming, a full HD LG 32LD460 is worth considering.  :D

Sir vic just want to thank you for an impressive service you've given to my client. They were so shocked of how smooth and fast you decided on their problem.

;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

+++++100 to Sir Vic.  way back when i was looking to start my home theater.  i asked sir Vic, what will fit my budget of 25k, i was going to put it in my bedroom.  he  said don't rush ipon ka unti unti mo bilihin pag low budget. get the best para one time buy.  at that time i was looking for  wharfedale speakers and  av receiver.  he recommended B&W and pioneer receiver.  pinaset-up pa nya side by side yung speakers para daw marinig ko mabuti difference. a few months later got a B&W sub then later on the center speakers.
it's been 10 years and the B&W speakers still sound great.

last june 2010 got my toshi 32av700 from sir Vic.  walang makalapit sa price nya.  the other stores were selling their older models at a higher price pa and they don't even have the av700 at that time kasi kakalabas lang.

kaya kung may nagtatanong sa akin saan maganda bumili... S&S agad sagot ko :D

@sir wafull

thanks sa input sir.

@sir vic

nice input sir. much appreciated. salamat din sa pricelist. anyway, i'm choosing between the 32ld460 and 32c530 but leaning towards the sammy dahil sa mga nababasa kong backlight issues sa lg after some time. nababasa ko sa sammy is ung color saturation nga which is adjustable naman daw sa settings. i'm a gamer and at the same time i love watching movies. alin kaya sa dalawa ang mas ok? in terms of file format compatibility na rin sa internal USB media player.

also, it seems that the 32rv700 has the same price as the 32ld460. alin kaya sa dalawa mas maayos (less issues)?

thanks uli.

Hi,  I am a new PDVD member.
so far bilib ako sa store mo.

just by reading the posts bilib na bilib n ako.   You know that they say, when it comes from customers all these praises.  only means one thing.  Excellent products and quality service.  Congrats po.

Btw Sir Vic, If i may cal you by your name.

My Budget is 19k-22k.   I am a Gamer.  Ive been eyeing on your Toshiba AV 700 and RV 700 respectively.

Now, here are my concerns:

1.  is 1080p  really noticiable for my PS3 gaming kasi mas mahal ng 4k RV mo po.
2.  what do you think of the sharp L450. currently ito yung  humaharang sa purchase ko ng toshiba.  dahil sa good bundle ng ansons.  20500  free HT na. same halos specs sa AV700.

3. I need your help in makingm y decision.  I have read the previous pages but  I need an honest assessment.  Again,  mostly for gaming ko gagamitin  if ever  Toshiba  talga  gusto ko.  Nalilito  din ako sa LG D460.  hay.  SOS;;

- Andrew.
