The HT805pm has to be bundled with the purchase of LG TV to avail of Add on P10K. Otherwise, we need to purchase it at retail price of P12K.

The LG does not provide region code. The usual procedure is to direct customers to LG Service Center for assistance. It is for this reason that we do not have the said code to activate the settings of the home-theater.

Nevertheless, thank you for discussing this issue over the internet. Thank you also for buying electronics at Sights and Sounds.

Since 8.1 is a kevlar speakers, you need a center kevlar 9cs to timbre balance. The proper matching center for 8.1 therefore has to be 9cs.

For surround, you can use any full range speakers. If you have available old speakers at home, just use them as your rear surround.

9cs is cash at P4500.

Recently purchase 40av700 and it was great – i will then get HT kaya lang this time limited budget so for sure i will get the HT805VM(5k bundle mentioned on the tosh thread) which is 2.1 hindi pa kasi kaya ng budget ung HT805PM e

Ung DVD player ba the HT805VM and HT805PM same lang?
2.1 sya Main + FrontSpeaker + Subwoofer

In the future kung bibili ako ng separate na center and surround it will still work right?

thanks for answering my question master Vic, anyway this is what i've used to eliminate that "Region Code" error on the HT805pm,

1. Turn on the DVD player (with no disc inserted).

2. You should be at the HOME MENU. If not, press the
Radio&Input button on your remote control to go to the HOME
MENU.

3. Open the DVD tray.

4. Press 0 four times. (0, 0, 0, 0)

5. A blue window will appear. Press 0 to set your region code
to 0 (region-free).

6. Press PAUSE to confirm.

I know it's not your store's obligation to do this (it is LG's), but i think giving an extra mile to your most valued customers won't hurt, and i know you know it ^_^, it will just take Ctrl+P then post this in the store.

The 5.1 is multichannel surround sound application encircles the audience with surround channels of center dialogue, left-surround, right-surround, and back-surround, plus the .1--the subwoofer.

The 2.1 is simply a stereo of left and right channel with .1--the subwoofer.

In view of the above, the HT-805vm is constructed mainly for stereo listening. There is no provision for you to connect for surround effect.

If you want the feel of immerse with the movie effect, I suggest you consider the HT-805pm of 5.1 system. By the way, this system is P12K as against HT805vm at P7K (the LG HT805vm becomes P5K if it is bundled purchase with the LG TV).

LA40C530 and LA40C550 deliver the same picture quality. The 40C550 has added features: crystal frame bezel and USB port that can access wireless connectivity with other media source. You need LAN adaptor to enable the wireless to function.

If you are just into TV and movie watching, 40C530 is just economical for your purpose.
