sir vic, available po ba ang samsung 32" 530??

32C530 is out of stock at the moment. Units are arriving by March.

You may want to consider the Toshiba 32RV700 or LG 32LD460. These TVs are still available but in very limited quantity.  :D

sir vic, thanks for your quick reply. I was planning to use the free 22" TV as a PC monitor. The 42LE5500's new price is very tempting, although at the rate that prices of LCD/LED TVs are dropping, maybe delaying gratification and waiting for a couple of months more with be more rewarding.  :)

LG's LE5500 series has Ethernet RJ-45 and Wi-Fi connectors which are not found in lower models like LE4500 and LE5300. All other specs are practically the same.

I have two questions:
1. what kind of network connection at home will use the Ethernet RJ-45 and Wi-Fi connectors?
2. are these worth the 8-10K price differential versus the lower models?

The LE7500 model has bluetooth (only additional feature over LE5500) and costs 6K more. Again, is the Bluetooth functionality worth it? (Where will one use bluetooth and how often, really).

TIA.

i bought 42LE7500 from SnS. The notable difference of this model between 42LE5500 is the basic local dimming. Because of this feature 42LE7500 should have higher contrast ratio. There are ALOT of features that differs 42LE7500 from 42LE5500 that I noticed but I won't mention them all because buying a unit depends on the buyers choice and justification alone I suggest a side by side comparison with other brands too before buying.

Hi nethskie, the LE5500 and LE7500 both have local dimming. They should have the same dynamic contrast ratio. Based on the comparison below, the only additional feature found in the 7500 is the bluetooth connector.

http://www.plasma-lcd-crt.com/compares/lg_42le7500_vs_lg_42le5500

I agree that our choice should be based on features we can use and enjoy. The LE5500 and LE7500 both have features for broadband entertainment access (like NetCast™ in the US) and WIFI Internet service without a need for a PC. I am not sure if these services are offered locally and I will not subscribe to them anyway. So I see no value for money in these additional bells and whistles which add 8-10K pesos to the selling price but will not be utilized.

Sir Vic, I am seriously considering LG 42LE5300 (same specs as LE5500 except for the broadband and WIFI connectors). However, the backlight bleeding issue is giving me second thoughts.

Would you please PM me the equivalent Samsung, Toshiba and Panasonic models and prices of LED full HD TV (40 - 42 in) with specs similar to LG 42LE5300 (PM me price of this model too). I would like to compare four models and your recommendation, if any, will of course be much welcome. Thanks again.

Sony is expensive because of product quality--Sony is more durable than other brand TV.

Nevertheless, the picture quality of both LE7500 and EX710 are almost the same.

By the way, thanks for dropping by our shop. Thanks also for posting the picture of our shop. :D

my 42LE7500 doesn't have this backlight bleeding issue even slightly. In buying LG LCD/LEDTVs please check if the panel is IPS Panel here's how to check http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1268529

In buying a Sony check if it's a Samsung Panel manufactured by S-LCD same as buying Samsung LCD/LEDTVs because they have 5 variations Chimei Panel, AUO Panel, Sharp Panel, Chilin Panel and Samsung Panel. http://www.digitalversus.com/panel-switching-samsung-tvs-we-know-so-far-news-15457.html
