HTS3400 is simply a better system than those of mass market brand. The sound is more distinct, clear and accurate while the bass has more punch but fluid.

You may wish to consider the Toshiba 32RV700. This Toshiba offers the best picture presentation from among the choices you are considering. Although 32RV700 has no usb feature, it has other features that are essential. The signal booster can best enhance the TV reception while 4 HDMI inputs will provide you with more connectivity. And of course, unlike LG that has backlight bleeding, this TV has no any screen problem.

sir, thanks for the Onkyo HTS3400. i immensely enjoying it. sobrang bargain considering the price of the Free HDMI. i am now considering Front Speakers for this unit. what can you recommend, sir? my budget is around P10k.

The HTS3400 is meant for best performance as one system. Although you can change your Onkyo front to another speaker system, the combination may not perform as what you may have heard and experienced right now. The Onkyo receiver will simply be under-powered to deliver dynamic sound.

I suggest you either stick to whole Onkyo or scrap the Onkyo and start another set-up.  

By the way, thanks for buying this awesome home-theater system at SnS.

balak ko po sana bumili ng 32ld460 nung weekend kaso napaisip nung malaman ang backlight bleeding na issue (sa online discussions).. nangyayari po ba yun sa 32" o para sa mas malalaking models lang yun? pinagpipilian ko po sana 32ld460 o 32le5500. may masuggest po ba kayong 32" na very good value for money? pang-movie lang naman po at pang-TV (sa condo ay nakaconnect lahat by cable; di naman ata problema ang reception).

The LD and LE series has backlight bleeding issue pa rin. If you want peace of mind, you may want to avail the new Samsung 32D550 LCD TV at only P22500. or Samsung LED 40D5000 at P42K. These TVs have no any issue of manufacturing defect.

D is a new 2011 model while C is the 2010 model. The new model has better contrast, plus more connectivity:  HDMI X 4, USB X 2.
