LED TV is for all rounder viewing, which includes watching static picture. If you are into this purpose, we suggest you go for 42XL700. This TV delivers the best picture in LCD/LED category.

to pdvd gurus, just would like to ask some questions as i'm really tempted to ditch my LE5500 for the very affordable, recently released 3D capable Samsung or LG plasma (and of course, habol ko po kasi yun 3D feature, saka nga grabe ang mura, compared to 3d LCDs/LEDs):

the native resolution of these plasmas as per their respective websites is 1024x768, and advertised as HD ready. in fact, the LG site lists 1080p as the max input res that the 42PW350 supports. so how does this translate to PQ? say i watch a bluray movie at 1080p, what can i expect to see? i mean in practical terms, just for the sake of having a 3D ready tv, am i justified to let go of my 42" LED? anyways, by following the recommended viewing distances, 1080p PQ can only be well appreciated if you sit very near to the tv. so methinks my being 6ft away, ok na malamang ang PQ. or ganun nga ba? i hope someone can help me with this. TIA!

additional query about this point: i kinda get what native res means. but in a 1024x768 plasma, how will it render a 1080p (1920x1080) movie? can i expect much PQ degradation coz as i understand it, it will try to pack the 1920x1080 pixels and "reduce" it to 1024x768 (since both resolutions are compatible, in that they are similarly in 16:9 aspect ratio)?

Thanks sir Vic my purpose is just for watching movies, actually kumuha na ako kanina ng 42pw350 sa store nyo kapalit nung 42le5500 na return ko because of dead pixel. I also took home the Polk Audio CS10 pero yung Polk Audio DSW 440 next week ko balikan wala pa yung stock kanina sa store nyo po eh. Thanks for purchasing electronics at SnS. LG 42PW350, though at 720p, presents as great picture as the Toshiba XL series.
