I am currently looking for a decent AVR + Speaker package. I'm planning to setup a 6.1 surround sound setup in my bedroom or living room. Area is not that big, somewhere around 9 feet by 12 feet. I'm new to this and I've been doing some reading and so far I've learned alot from this forum. I already have a newly bought Tosh AV500E and now I am starting to look into sound setup. My budget is quite small, I'll start it off with 15K. I was kinde wondering if you could assist me on this.

Kindly send me a price list of amps and speaker system around this price range.

The budget of P15K will hardly get you anywhere for a good component home-theater system. With P15K, you could either avail of a home-theater-in-a-box that costs as little as P8K or you may start the home-theater system through gradual built-up. Instead of spending the whole P15K on a whole home-theater system, you buy a piece of equipment (like AV receiver) and gradually build and spend for other equipment.

Here are the equipment you may wish to consider:
Yamaha RXV363 at P14500.
Wharfedale 9.1 front P5500.
Wharfedale 9cs center P4500.
Wharfedale 9dfs surround P4500.
Wharfedale SW150 powered sub P9K.

WDTV media player needs a home-theater system like Samsung HTZ210 to process the 5.1 channel.

If you wish to watch HIGH-DEFINITION media from WDTV, you need to have both WDTV and Samsung HTZ210.

Sir Vic thanks for a great deal you gave me last tuesday. dami ko tuloy nabili. 42pv80, wdtv, wd passport 500gb, htib and rack.

Ganda ng pv80! kaya lng pag nakabukas ung ilaw nagsshadow ung frame sa screen mga 1inch. nasa taas kasi mismo ng tv ung ilaw. kala ko pa IR or burn in na tapos nung pinatay ko ilaw nawala lahat. other than that its perfect. anyway more power to sights and sounds and advanced merry xmas! i'll call u nalang ulit after 60 days for the caliberation. thanks again
