tempting ito ah pero if ever ganito yun dapat na setup ko, which of which speakers should i get sa a-audio?
7.1 setup
front = wharfedale diamond 9.1
center = wharfedale diamond 9cs
rear = wharfedale diamond 9.1
middle sides = wharfedale diamond 9dfs

5.1 setup

front = wharfedale diamond 9.1
center = wharfedale diamond 9cs
rear = wharfedale diamond 9dfs

yan yun plan ko sana, but if a-audio anu speakers dapat with that setup? thanks masters

yan din brader yung 1st plan ko, 9.1. But i opted for a tower na front. I guess kung parehong 9.1 yung front at rear mo hindi ba aprang overkill na yung rear na 9.1? perhaps the 9dfs or wh2 will do.

you can also try this:

A Audio:5.1

Bookshel front
"small" Center
Tablette rear

7.1 still A Audio:

Front Tower
Center- the 3ft center
Rear- BS clone and the farthest could be the tablettes or same na din na BS clones.
The handsomest and the happiest ;b

trust me brother, do not hold back with rear surrounds. kala ko din dati any small speakers will do, but the real purpose of the surrounds is to envelope you in sound and should not distract you from the movie/picture in front of you (sabi ni Dolby). if i'm not mistaken, most parts of the movie soundtracks are usually placed discreetly in the rear channels. anyhow, iwas upgrade itch din yan if ever you get midsized BS rear speakers for your current setup. next step would be floorstanders na.

For HT, I really prefer the same size drivers used for all - front, center & rear (except subwoofer of course :D)

having heard the 3 feet center during the eb, it sounds very natural and neutral. it easily filled the ht room of sir mark, which is saying a lot since sir mark's ht room is 50 sq meter and 12-15 feet high.

the bookshelves has been talk about a lot already, if you go a few pages back to the eb pictures, you will see and read that the bookshelves performed respectably against branded bookshelves like b&w, jbl, ae and paradigm.  ;D

my bad.  i did back-read before asking the question, but i was under the impression that it was the floorstanders being compared...

My friend and I got this last week. I've been hooked on playing lossless music since. The floorstanders are the best! More power to A-Audio. Pwede bang makahingi ng badge nito?

DIY Master Anthony's Lair

Have you been to DIY Master Anthony's lair lately?
Whether if you have or have not, it seems buzzing with a lot of projects lately!  :o

From Clones, to HT sets, custom speakers to subs to various drivers - wall to wall speaker galore! ;D
I was even treated to his DIY Projector - ang galing! ;D I think this is really something that he should explore down the road! ;)

Those Boston RS12 Rally Subs really brought back memories of my old car audio days - I could only imagine both of those in Halimaw boxes, wired in 8ohms & powered by a single poweramp!  :o

Oh, and speaking about Halimaw - I saw a little brother of Halimaw under construction ;D Maganda yan!  ;)

maybe sir anthony should consider correcting the posted speaker sensitivities. as i previously mentioned in another post and also per master tubero jojo the actual sensitivity is less than the listed value when compared to a speaker of known sensitivity.

Hi Mark, I thought too that the sensitivity was lower than what Anthony posted. I have the Proac clone and initially, the sound was less than a branded speaker of known sensitivity at the same volume level, but as the clone went through break-in, I had to lower the volume to the same as that of the branded speaker to produce the same volume of sound. So, the sensitivity might be correct, given the required break-in period of the clones.

i don't think a break-in can increase a speaker' sensitivity much. break-in can soften a driver's suspension,  increasing its compliance thereby extending the box frequency a bit lower; and probably increase the sensitivity by at best 2 dB. my first impression is that the clones have about 3 to 4 dB lower than posted sensitivity. will do another comparison.

anybody care to comment on the A-Audio speakers as a HT setup?
back-read ka na lang sir you'll see how we liked the sound of these clones. it's currently the best-sounding speakers i have.
