I finally got my hands to the Titus BS courtesy of sir JeremyIdol. Here's what I think of the bookshelves. This is not a review it's just my personal opinion.
When I audition it to sir Jeremy's place it sounds really really good. Hindi ko sure kung ano kasi yung warm and bright so I can't tell how does it sound (basta for me it's really good
). anyways, he's setup is JDlabs preamp + JDlabs poweramps + NAD CD Player + high end speaker cables. Everything na isalang nya sounds really good to me. Because of this, I got anxious/jealous na sana I have the same setup para tumunog ng kasing ganda yung Titus BS in our place.
At home, my setup is PC(foobar2000) + cheap 3.5mm cable + Onkyo 606 + 12 gauge wires + Titus BS. I have downloaded flac files "Best Audiophile voices" for reference. With this setup I didn't expect a lot (of course
). I started playing "What the world needs now" by Woong San - and VOILA!!!! It did really surpass my expectations! My body was put into relax mode. Her voice sounded like of Karen Carpenters. Next I played Auld Lang Syne by Keri Noble. Again the Titus BS delivers. My daughter who was playing around area looked at me and said ang galing daddy parang bumubulong lang sakin. Is this what they meant of "soundstage"?. I also tried playing RnB's, Acoustics which are my really kind of genre and this speaker did not dissapoint.
After a while I decided to play a Christmas song
. I played The First Noel - Hark! the Herald by Ray Conniff which is a mp3 only (160kbps). The recording of this song is good. The male choirs member sings on the left side while the femails on the right. You can clearly hear it from Titus BS. Suprisingly, my wife who was busy that time sits on my side and smiled at me and said These (the Titus BS) are really good, I like it
You know what I said... "Naku wala yan, Mas maganda yan kung may center!" hahahah!
In the end, I'm not the only one happy, My wife ,my kids pati si Yaya. Our entertainment system wouldn't be the same - The Titus BS changed it in a very very good way. Salamat sir Jeremy and to the people behind A-Audio... KUDOS to you guys especially k Sir Anthony!
