Tennis, Anyone?

For those of you who haven't found SkyCable's 2007 US Open coverage (it isn't on ESPN/Star Sports/Solar Sports), it's currently on Channel 33 as a "Test Broadcast" for a "Balls" channel.

Uy, barring any injuries or sudden upsets, I think Federer will win this one again. Wow, Tommy Haas has really made amazing progress after being sidelined for so long.

As for the women's division, I haven't seen the top and bottom draws but my money's on Serena this year.

Yes, Nalbandian is on a roll!

I'm a Federer fan, but seeing someone beat him twice in a row suddenly makes tennis more exciting. It's been Federer's domain for too many months now.

I think from now on Federer will be concentrating on getting as many grand slam titles as he can, especially the French Open. I doubt that Nalbandian can beat him in a grand slam final.

Hantchukova's through, defeating Kirilenko in three sets. And does anyone notice Federer seems a tad slower lately?

The collective prayers of ATP players got answered. "Please, God, just one hint that this Federer guy's human outside of clay."

so it's semis time already at the Australian Open..

Women's

Sharapova vs. Jankovic
Ivanovic vs. Hantuchova

Men's

Nadal vs. Tsonga
Federer vs. Djokovic

Sharapova's playing really well at this tournament.. Saw her game against Henin and she totally outplayed the world no.1.. Glad to see Ivanovic finally winning over Venus Williams.. If Sharapova and Ivanovic continue their excellent play (both haven't dropped a set yet for this tournament), there's a big chance they'd meet at the Finals.. on the men's side, I'd love to see Djokovic reach the finals.. unfortunately, he's up against Federer.. i'm guessing we'll have another Nadal vs. Federer finals..

Sharapova's been my perennial pick especially after Clijsters retired. But for some reason, in this tournament, I find myself rooting for Jankovic. Ivanovic is really strong but again my sentimental favorite has always been Hantchukova.

I also want Djokovic to enter the finals but I think it is kinda remote with Federer as his opponent. But then Federer is not in top form right now so an upset could be possible. I haven't seen Tsonga play so I can't call this match versus Nadal.

I can't believe the score of the Ivanovic Hantuchova match, at the start of the second set! I'm actually rooting for the latter but didn't think she had a chance.
