I was hoping for a Nadal win but sadly didn't happen. :(

For some reason, the first half of 2015 has not been kind to Nadal.

There is still Wimbledon and the US Open. Here's to hoping he can win either.

Rafa is way out of shape, he was idle for too long and is having difficulty getting his rhythm back.  I expect him to be in shape by 2016, I'm not even hopeful for Wimby or the US open.

yeah rafas game is way off. Malayo from his previous form. I hope he recovers para may challenge naman si djokovich. Federer is really on the way down, hangang quarter or semis na lang. Murray is inconsistent. Wala na iba challenger si djoko.

JW Tsonga ... baka matsambahan niya si Djokovic kung mananalo siya kontra Wawrinka.

If Rafa does not regain form, Nole will have an era or domination which was very similar to what Fed had. Roger's closest rival prior to Nadal was Andy Roddick and the sometimes threatening Marat Safin, apart from those two, nobody was in the same area code as Roger's talent. Hopefully some young upstart rises to the occasion to challenge Nole's near perfect form, because obviously this version of Rafa is not enough.

IMO, the only player that can beat Novak right now is himself. He sometimes goes thru this phase where nerves get the better of him - like leading 4-0 then lose the next 4 games to Rafa.

Rafa's game has not really decline that much, it is those other players who have stepped up theirs. Roger had reinvented himself to improve his serve and volley. Andy is starting to trim his temper, improve his second serve and endurance to withstand long rallies and multiple sets. Stan now has the most devastating single-handed backhand in the the tour. Rafa has to bring in something new, maybe a stronger first serve or a new coach.

Mailap talaga ang French Open kay Novak.

Baka pag nagka-edad na siya ng 30 saka siya manalo.

ganda talaga laro ni stan when in the right mindset. There was one backhand winner that was around 160kph! Sabi nung commentator "supersonic backhand".

Malas ni djoko sa french, baka magaya sya kay borg and sampras. Multi grandslam winners without the french open.

i was able to watch the entire match. i couldn't believe that novak is playing very defensively, instead of looking for winners he seems to be contended with just returning the ball on the court. stan did quite the opposite, he was clearly shooting for the stars and it paid off.

Baka hindi si Borg yung sinasabi mo sir, kasi 3 times na back to back si Bjorn Borg sa Wimy and Roland Garros.  11 titles in total between the two slams. though he never won the US and AO

I also noticed this. Parang ingat na ingat sa laro. Malamang pressure from himself to win FO. It was a very good game, especially for stan, many times i cheered and clap from his stunning backhand. I also noticed that stans backhand is more dangerous than his forehand, a very enjoyable to watch. If stan will continue to be consistent and aggressive he will have many GS.

sold out sa tennis warehouse yung shorts ni stan! At $42.00 bilis naubos hehe. Pang tennis na, pang swimming at sleepwear pa.

he mentioned that he likes backhand better than forehand (weird because backhand are always harder to hit)

The only problem with a single backhand is its so much harder to control a heavy top spin forehand from an opponent, e.g. Rafa.  With the exception of their AO title match, Stan has had a difficult time using his single handed back against Rafa.

The single handed backhand is a dying breed(sayang, its beautiful to watch), aside from Gasquet and Federer I dont know anyone else who excels in it.

Im still hoping that Uniqlo will sell us those nice dry fits with the Uniqlo logo like Novak's.  My logo is at the bottom back.  hehehe

Stan's backhand winners were the most memorable shots of the match.  Beautiful!
