Meron na finally sa Japan and US since French Open.  ND (Djokovich) and NK (Nishikori) models.  Mas mura sa Japan (JPY3,980) than US ($49.90).

Until I return to Tokyo, ditto muna ako sa double square logo sa likod na dry fit EX models.   :( - pero maganda talaga fit sa Asians!   ;)

I like dark shirts para pogi sa pics kaya I prefer the French Open model - kahit natalo.    :)

Btw, sana magbenta ang uniqlo ng white collared shirt with the patch red logo in front.

Watched the Wimbledon finals and thought: Novak is going to be in the conversation for GOAT soon enough.

Then watched a replay of Roland Garros and thought: Wow, Wawrinka is the best.

Then watched a replay of Gasquet-Wawrinka and thought: Wow, Gasquet!

Haha, I love this game (and sports in general), esp. that there is nothing definite. Except maybe Serena.

Tournament started last monday or tuesday ata. Palagi 11 pm to 5am. Since they have night games din in new york, morning sa atin. So  they also televise games sa morning. Like right now novak is playing. Sayang can't watch it.

He was leading Fognini 2 sets to love when the unthinkable happened. He lost the last 3 sets. Oh well, that time comes to every great player.

Yung "Golden Grand Slam" ni Graf, would be difficult to match, pati kasi Olympics, she won in the same year.

Graf is the GOAT for me for simply being the hottest looking player I've actually seen in person during her prime.  Hehehe.

Too bad for Serena, the pressure must have gotten to her.  Parang everyone was conceding that she was gonna get this na, and to lose to an unseeded player at that...

Looks like Graf's record is gonna stay unmatched for another year at least. :)

Another year?  You don't get grand slam opportunities like this every year.  Serena is not getting younger at 33 and this was her biggest chance.  Highly unlikely that she'll get another chance.

That's why I said at least. I was gonna write "for a little while longer", but Serena can still surprise us you know.  But like others here, I am partial to Graf as GOAT, so I am not exactly rooting for her, but if she does, good for her. 33 yrs is not exactly young in tennis, but she has been at her most dominant during these recent years.  :)

Almost everyone, even Sharapova, folds when Serena Williams starts getting the upper hand. Only the two retired Belgian players, Justine Henin and Kim Clijsters, did not. Serena wasn't expecting Vinci to fight for every point. She was sort of expecting Vinci to give in and was obviously visibly exasperated when she lost points she would have won against other opponents.

Serena has lasted this long by playing selectively. She has avoided major injuries by limiting her tournaments, playing only in the more prestigious tournaments and the grand slams. At one point, she had even skipped major tournaments and concentrated on her fashion business. This was when Justine Henin, dominated the ladies division. Only after Henin retired the first time did Serena come back full-time to playing tennis. Serena may win more than Steffi Graf's 22 ladies' singles grand slams but Steffi Graf still has the Golden Slam.

I think he was referring to graf's 22 and not the calendar grand slam.

The term "calendar grand slam" is relatively new.  I guess it was coined to differentiate a true grand slam - winning all 4 majors in the same calendar year (ala Graf 88) versus owning all 4 majors but not in the same calendar year.  The latter is more common - Navratilova, Graf, and Serena's done it.

Before it was just either a Grand Slam or a non-calendar Grand Slam, rare and monumental achievements both.
