The gift set is gorgeous.   But very pricey - $119.95.  Hopefully Amazon will discount it by 40-50% (wishful thinking?)

^ I noticed amazon and other online sites go as far as offering 40% discounts. They do that in anchorbay horror releases some months back. Hopefully, they will do with this one.

Just like what I did for the book, I'll probably wait for an ultimate gift set of all seven movies...

Patience is still a virtue. We waited with bated breath for the releases of every Harry Potter books and now the last one has been released recently. Now they just come up on what could be the definitive box (er, chest?) set for all HP books. It's no different with the DVD when they will issue Harry's complete Adventures. I'll wait for all seven movies in one blow. ;)

Nice giftset indeed! Very tempted but my concern is if I get it now after the completed of the final chapter, they might release another even better 7 movies packaging...  ;D

Yeah it's easy to say that, we all know it will release another nice boxset after the final chapter. The real ques is to buy now or wait for the entire boxset collection or double dip.  ;) If you have lots moolah the answer is obvious.

How about you sepultura?

I think by the time the last movie is finished, the dilemma would be whether to buy the BD set or the HD set. ;D

I have no problem with that... with the upcoming ultimate hidef gift set for blade runner, which are identical in packaging for both and hopefully they'll do the same with the HP series, I already made a choice between the 2 formats...  ;)

update

from DVDTimes:

Extras found on the Giftset’s exclusive bonus disc follow…

    * 2001 International TV Special: A Glimpse Into the World of Harry Potter
    * 2002 HBO First Look Special: Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets Revealed
    * 2004 HBO First Look Special: Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban: Something Wicked This Way Comes
    * 2004 ABC Special: The Making of Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban
    * Interview with Alfonso Cuaron (in Spanish, subtitled)
    * 2005 ITV/Granada Special: Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire: Behind the Magic
    * 2005 ITV/Granada Special: Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire: Some Animal Magic
    * 2005 HBO First Look Special: Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire: Dark Matters, New Masters
    * 2007 International TV Special: Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix: The Rebellion Begins

Film number 4, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will also be available with trading cards but the low price of $14.97 SRP is valid only for 60 days, after which it well sell for $19.97 SRP.

Giftset: Currently  $84 Standard definition, $105 High-Def

Triple dip anyone?  I will probably get the Gift Set but the Bluray version (even if I still have no HD players at the moment!).     It makes more sense since I am sure I will get a PS3 in the future.

Then probably wait for the R3 single movie version of OOTP  Unless Warner Philippines releases the Giftset in a more affordable manner.  OT na pala ako...

What I do is wait till it's on sale for P350 before buying so I won't feel too bad when I double dip in the future.

Except for Order of the Phoenix which was lenticular (R1 release exclusive) ;D
