I think the Giants managed to do what other teams failed to do against New England: stop Brady and cover his receivers. Limiting the Patriots' score to less than ten by halftime is a clear evidence that the Giants really smothered them with stiff defense. And Eli played really well (note how he pulled himself out of a sack and threw a successful pass to whatsisname [David Tyree, I've read hehe]).
