America's Most Smartest Model
« on: Sep 12, 2007 at 02:24 PM »
Aside from the fourth season of Project Runway, America's Most Smartest Model is the reality show I am really anticipating. I've seen the promo and it's hilarious how stupid the model-contestants are. Here's a sample:

Host: Is your family native-born American?
Male Model: No, we're all from California
Host and female co host looked perplexed. So male model clarifies his answer...
Male Model: Northern... Northern California

I just saw the trailer for this show as well, and I could not stop laughing! I think this will be the FIRST modeling reality show I'll ever watch.

But... aren't all the people in that local modeling reality show Be Bench that way? Even the hosts/judges?  ;D

Then again, maybe that male model was the brother of Miss South Carolina: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj3iNxZ8Dww  ;D

for the first episode alone, apat na ang natanggal, as the host would like to say, they've been "purged" and rendered "vestigial"...

the winner gets $100,00... ewan ko lang kung ano pang ibang prize kasama dyan...

challenges for this episode:
-spelling bee about words or names related to fashion...
-runway modeling while enumerating things from a given category...

nakakatawa talaga, may mga standout personalities like the cocky pitbullish russian, the sweet silicone-lipped playboy model, the snarky gay black dude and the Argentinian bum... maraming quotable quotes galing sa kanila

Ben Stein was a wonderful host! I just can't get enough of his parting statement -- "just like the leg bones of a cetacean mammal you are now vestigial." And the faces of the three models on the chopping block were priceless.

no problem, you can actually view these clips from the official site (may kasama pang mga extra scenes) although sometimes it's hard to get them to play properly... hopefully they would continue putting those video clips online for the rest of the succeeding episodes... sa VH1 channel lang ata ito mapapanood...

indeed, it's great to have him... i love how they call the eliminations as purging...

Finished episode1, act2. Ben Stein is nice guy & a true gentleman. What's the lady host name again? I find her to be a bit tactless, merciless or harsh toward some contestants.  :-\

During the chopping block session (3 contestants), by physical appearance, I would agree with her that the playboy girl (with big lip) should be eliminated. Her reaction was quite strong on this big lip girl: how awful her make up, hair color, etc.

But luckily Ben Stein interupted/pointed out the girl is fine. As a result, the other two got chopped.  ;D The girl casualty seems pretty, sexy & could be smart but wasn't given a chance to prove herself...kawawa such an early stage already got chopped.  :-[

That cocky russian...phew what an attitude. Too many vulgar words! I'd love to see him get the boot!! :P

well according to Mary Alice, walang model na orange hehe...

the Russian who thinks Soviet Union still exists is definitely a character... gotta laugh at his rant about models being gods and goddesses, how people die to be like them and how he has a rare dog and a girlfriend... amusing he mentioned the rare dog first as if it was an important fact of life...

as far as being vulgar though, Gaston is tops... dirty penis hahaha  :o  ;D

Ah yes, now I recall Mary Alice (her look is ok but I don't like her sharp tongue :P) calling that poor girl not model material, blah blah she is more suitable for actress or TV something blah blah...also the orange thing. Is the orange refered to her skin or hair color ba?  ;D

The Russian dude takes it overly serious noh...as if his life & family honor is on the line.  :D While watching I was busy doing something else so I miss out the part about the rare dog & Gaston's dirty speech.

Haha looks like I will have to rewatch the whole thing again later with my wife...  :P
