It's that time of the year again. Yes, yet another re-release of Rob Reiner's 1987 fantasy classic The Princess Bride. This time, however, we're looking at a two-disc 20th Anniversary Edition featuring a mix of new extras ("The Princess Bride: The Untold Tales," "The Art of Fencing" and "Fairytales And Folklore" featurettes, "True Love And High Adventure: The Official Princess Bride DVD Game.") and old ("Dread Pirate Roberts: Legend of the Seven Seas," "Love Is Like A Storybook Story," "Miraculous Make-Up," "As You Wish" featurettes, "Battle Of Wits" Interactive Game).

Other extras include an audio commentary with director Rob Reiner, audio commentary with writer William Goldman, a Cast Retrospective, Exclusive Cary Elwes Home Video, and "Fezzik's Guide To Florin" booklet. Look for it on November 13th with retail $19.98.

Wasn't it just yesterday when they release The Dread Pirate and Buttercup edition of The Princess Bride.  Hopefully, this time they will really remaster the film!

Regardless, I have trouble justifying buying another one especially with lots of must-own DVDs coming this holiday season...

i already have the mgm special edition. i'm happy with that. saving up for bladerunner.

If only you can buy only the Slipcase.  The reversible cover for the new edition is awesome.
