which do you prefer a passive or active. ano po ba difference nila in terms of performance? how about sa cost naman magkalayo ba presyo?

thanks for your inputs and suggestion. this is very much considered.

depende din sa source eh... for example on my cd player - when i use the tube output connections, i prefer the passive

but when i use the connections that bypass the player's tube - i prefer my tube preamp

when i use my dvd player - it's also better with the tube preamp

with regards to cost - it can go either way, may mura at mahal na passive - ganun din active... what's your set-up or planned set-up? para mas madali ma imagine, at mas specific ang sagot

OK ang 300B with the Usher. Labas lahat ng detail even at low level listening. Even the bass mas defined. It does not clip even at moderately high volume. With the ST70 medyo bitin ako sa low level listening but when it comes to cranking up the volume iba din ang ganda. Im not also sure because my Usher is new so it might not be the fault of the ST70. When I was using the ST70 with the B&W 603 it was so good. Im having second thoughts if Im going to sell it because its a classic and rivoed pa. I have a new speaker coming next month so I might be able to use it also.

but when i heard it being driven by a 300b, uh oh pwede

we AB'd a stock vs the modded one at Rene's place - and all I can say is that Rene made a good amp sound even better

OK naman. Balik ST-70 ako ngayon dahil nasa talyer ang Tono. Bilib din ako dito sa amp na ito. Kahit alin sa tatlo kong speaker kaya niyang pakantahin.
