Universal Studios Home Video have announced the Region 1 DVD release of Lust, Caution on 19th February 2008 priced at $29.98 SRP. The new film from Ang Lee is a startling erotic espionage thriller about the fate of an ordinary woman’s heart. Based on the short story by revered Chinese author Eileen Chang, Lust, Caution stars Asian cinema icon Tony Leung opposite screen newcomer Tang Wei.

Available in separate NC-17 (2hrs 39mins) and R Rated (2hrs 35mins) versions features include:

    * 1.85:1 Anamorphic Widescreen
    * Mandarin DD5.1 Surround
    * French DD5.1 Surround (NC-17 only)
    * English, English SDH, French and Spanish subtitles
    * ”Tiles of Deception, Lurid Affections” featurette

    Hmmm, :( disappointing announcement. I will just have to wait for a yet another release with additional features. They don't even bother to add the original theatrical trailer and its international counterpart.

NC-17? Hmmmmm.... something to look forward to. But since this is from Universal, I might just wait for a collector's edition...

anybody get the NC-17 version of this? is the running time really 159mins? I plan on getting the R3 Korean LE but the running time listed on that one is just 157mins.. over at imdb, the NC-17 version is also listed as having 157mins but the dvd back cover art says 159mins.. so, which is which? thanks!

I have the R1 NC-17 Version. Including the Final NC-17 MPAA Rating Screen, the total running time is 2:38:07.
