I don't have an HT3000 but try this 'hack' out from one of the forums outside PDVD:

Region code hack posted by Manolito Mystiq, December 12 2007:
It's the same as the 3357 one (thanks poveys):

*Use your Philips HTS 3000 remote:

*Open the DVD/CD tray, press STOP 7344660

Maybe even less digits need to be pressed, I just tried several codes from several machines, as I couldn't find one for the HTS 3000, but when I tried this one, halfway (I think after inputting STOP 7344) I saw the "Region: O" Icon.

I hope this helps, it did for me.

i'm not video/audiophile so i can't give an authorative review - wag mo ko tanungin about resolutions and other technical terms haha. for music, medyo mahina sha at 200 watts lang ata pero swabe ang tunog, masarap sa tenga. kahit itaas mo volume hindi masakit sa ulo. for video, it reads almost everything, konti lang ang avi codecs na hindi nya binabasa (compared to my LG dvd player). di rin nya mabasa ang ogg. user friendly, may smart settings kasi.
ideal for small areas/apartments/condos - hindi makaka istorbo ng neighbors.
