Need suggestions in mounting surround speakers
« on: Dec 13, 2007 at 11:46 PM »
I have a pair of wharfedale evo-8s that I want to wall mount as my rear surround. Here are some question that I have.

1) I need to place it higher then point it down because I don't want it to be obstructive to the people walking past the speakers. How do I do this? Because the ones (clip style) I saw in perfect view only tilt sideways and the one that tilts down requires me to drill holes.
2) Would drilling holes in my speaker affect the sound?
2) Is there a shop in raon selling brackets that you could recommend?

try scouting fro clamp types, if my memory serves me right, there are some wall mounts in Ace Hardware that tilt sideways and and up-down....don't drill holes in your speakers, though it may not affect the performance, assuming of course the holes dont penetrate the backboard totally, it will definitely reduce the value when the time you want to sell them for an upgrade, which, i can assure you, will happen... heheheh..
