Are you sure the Hairspray DVD isn't the "2-Disc Shake & Shimmy Edition"?

Could someone please post a scan of that "C-Interactive" flier. And is the Hairspray DVD C-Interactive releasing the 2-Disc DVD or the Single Disc?

I think the only DVD releases they got right were the initial launches of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. But even that was marred with controversy.

We should make this a regular "pinned" post for C-Interactive releases. So we know which DVDs we better order from US sources instead of them. I know of some New Line films that I mourn in advance because I know their DVDs will eventually be released locally by the "C", exclusively, if at all (Pan's Labyrinth, Blade, etc.)

The image of Hairspray on the flier is NOT of the 2-Disc Shake & Shimmy Edition; whereas that of Rush Hour 3 is of the 2-Disc Platinum Edition.

That still doesn't really mean anything until we see the actual releases. No pricing information was given on the fliers, either.

Can anybody please post the GOOD C INTERACTIVE RELEASES?  We might be able to consider buying these titles. By "good", this means that it's widescreen, enhanced for 16x9, acceptable video and audio quality.  Are all C Interactive dvd5s?  The problem with dvd5s is that pag sinamahan pa ito ng extra features at DTS sound, the quality of picture greatly suffers kasi.  So are there any C Interactive releases worth spending for?

check this thread: C-Interactive Releases: How Many Do You Own/Comments

Thank you so much.  Very informative thread.  Now I remember owning 3 C-interactive dvds before :  Resident Evil, Cellular & Sky Captain. I have disposed RE and Cellular for the simple reason that I wasn't really happy with quality.  The Sky Captain I have kept but can't recall how it looks and sounds like.  I'll probably watch it again.  I bought Assault on Precint 13 once but returned it because its Fullscreen & not WS as indicated in the DVD.  After that, I stayed away from C-Interactive like the plague.

After reading this thread, maybe I'll consider buying a couple of GOOD ones like Love Actually and Wedding Crashers.  Any feedback on WIMBLEDON?

one should approach buying a c-interactive release akin to that of buying a second hand car.  check mo lahat!!

The DVD's already been released (saw a copy at The Landmark record bar). C-Interactive, Php 299. The artwork quality and features/specs list of the local release looks good, but I was still a bit hesitant to buy this knowing it's from C-Interactive. Maybe some positive feedback will finally convince me to buy it.

I'm halfway through The Condemned (had to stop for dinner) and I'm surprised at how good the DVD is.... So far.

*GASP* Hell has frozen over!

Maybe there's some quirks in it I haven't discovered yet -- a chapter that skips, a missing featurette, etc. But so far, this release by "the C" seems to hold up pretty well.

*GASP* Pigs are flying!

Well, there are those badly made promos for their other releases at the beginning of the DVD before the menu comes in. But you can skip them. Also, this looks like an almost exact copy of the R1 judging by the English and Spanish only subtitles available. I would think an R3 release would also have Southeast Asian region subs as well.

I confirm this also.  Using this as well as Rush Hour 3 2disc as basis...dare I say the "C" has improved tremendously.  Off hand I think these are DVD9s!

Because of techdude's positive review, I got

BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA C-Interactive release P250 from Astro Podium

After years of staying away from C-Interactive like the plague, I finally got one that I'm happy with.  Checked the quality (PQ and SQ) and I'd say it has tremendously improved.  As techdude said, it's faithful to its R1 version.

Disc is DVD9.  Packaging has an IMPORTED sticker.  If you look at the back of the disc, it seems imported.  Is it?  Correct me if I'm wrong.  But overall, I'd say bravo to C-Interactive for getting it right finally!  For P250, this DVD is a winner.

Bridge of Terabithia: my second C-Interactive DVD. Keep it up and keep them coming!

I've already seen VCD's of Pan's Labyrinth. Hopefully for those  waiting for a local release, the DVD would be of excellent quality, much like C's recent releases.
