I think Boston did make an effort to win todays game but on the back of their head they still have two games in their turf to win it.

Congrats to LA, but they do have major tweaks to do to avoid from collapsing in the next game. Otherwise Boston's celeb is imminent. It should be a good one.

Boston's defense is really something to marvel at. Tom Thibodeau (Celtics' defensive coach) is credited for transforming
the Celtics into a defensive force. They literally shut down scorers to make easy baskets. This the same defense that forced Lebron to shoot bricks in their series. I think Boston's defensive alignment takes away the money shots --- layups and 3-point shots. Teams are forced to shoot long 2s -- like what happened to LA in Games 1&2. They literally defend the paint like a wall against scorers like Kobe and Lebron.

Phil Jackson has countered with better spacing. This helped Kobe pick good spots for his shots and pass to open players. Problema dito pag di gumana si Kobe at yun iba. If LA wants to beat Boston on the road, the second unit like Farmar, Sasha, Walton must make open shots. Kobe can't do it alone.

Game 6 is an interesting one. Yes, it's a must win for LA to stay alive. But, IT'S ALSO A MUST WIN for Boston. Should they lose Game 6, geez, imagine the pressure it will give them. So it's either Boston in Game 6 or else, it's gonna be LA in 7.

Boston gunning for their 1st ever championship in more than 20 years. LA going for a first ever comeback from a 3-1 deficit. Is it gonna be History or Hollywood in the making?

Boston's D is good, no doubt about it; but Lebron's not really known as a shooter and bricks a lot fo his outside shots (weakest point of his game IMHO).

I think game 6 is gonna be it. But in the event that they lose, i don't think they will just fold up. They have been in elimination games before and have thrived. The Lakers are far more prone to pressure showing their inexperience in the finals.

I don't think they are THAT GOOD and THAT ARROGANT. Even the 72-10 Chicago Bulls didn't mind winning on the road. You close out on the road or at home. It doesnt matter where.

yes you have a point there but, keep in mind that the jordan may have had many rings on his fingers at that time. its just that the championship celebration is sweet the first time, and much much sweeter when attained at home.

its such a cliche to say that pinatalo nila talaga yung game 5 to celebrate it at home. they always say that. not to mention "to sell more tickets". haha. i don't think theres an organization in the NBA dumb enough to gumble.

While that part may be true, no team will purposely lose a game and risk losing the championship altogether, just so they can win at home. Because they can never be 100% sure they can win at home, so why take the chance.

^^^ bottom line, if you're playing for the NBA Championship, don't you think every player and coach dreams of a sweep? Why take a chance by purposely losing a game just to win it back home? (thats just pure stupidity)

its not as if the Celtics are up against the Angola National Team, its the LA Lakers with Kobe Bryant.

the Celtics were down 19 after the 1st Quarter of game 5 but came back and were down only by 3 at the half.. they were down by 14 early in the 4th but came back and had a chance to tie with less than a minute to go.. if that was the Celtics purposely losing a game, even 100 points from Kobe won't help LA..

The Celtics tried to close it out in game 5. No professional team in the verge of bagging an elusive crown will pull back their punches just so they could celebrate at home. They know you give the opposing team hope, and then, they start to believe.

They start to believe, then the Mount Everest the Lakers have to climb isnt as hard to climb as it used to be.

For me, I still dont like the Laker's chances in game 6. But an "upset special" is always a possibility. "Bilog and bola" sabi nga dito sa atin.
