Again, this is still victim-blaming. It's wrong. It's not just a matter of "opinion". With this statement you are implying that: a.) Natural sa mga lalake ang mag-rape and b.) a woman who was raped probably did something to deserve to be raped.
You see, that type of thinking is a product of a very patriarchal culture. It's acceptable for men to flaunt their sexuality, to brag about how many women they've slept with, to flirt constantly with as many women as possible and to be a womanizer. It's something to be admired, even encouraged in some quarters. However, if a woman does the same, she is considered an immoral slut, someone who has to be ashamed of themselves. It's the very definition of a double-standard.
I personally don't believe a woman who is flirtatious, more sexually liberated or a woman who likes to wear short skirts deserves to be raped any more than a nun.
It is this VERY attitude that in far more conservative countries, mostly Muslim countries where the women rape victims are the ones who receive punishment and NOT the rapist. I'm sure this is not what you mean but it is THAT type of mentality that leads to something like that. It is VERY detrimental and unfair to rape victims because rape is a very traumatic, horrific experience and for you to make them feel ashamed or somehow at fault if they've been raped is like being raped all over again. This is why a lot of rape victims don't come forward and lots of rapists escape justice.
I don't know if Vhong Navarro is guilty or not but I do believe that when discussing such things, I would like people here to keep this in mind.
