I asked a millenial officemate why they loved K-Pop groups so much when they seem to be doing the same thing as say, Sexbomb. He enumerated a lot of things but I can sense he's trying so hard to show they're not comparable so I asked, if it is because Sexbomb is jologs. Case closed. Which surprised me because for me, K-Pop is "jologs" as well. Naisip ko na lang na sadyang followers lang tayong mga Pinoy as opposed to being innovators, on average. Siguro dahil mababa rin self esteem natin that if others are doing it, they must be doing it better than we are. We do have geniuses, but very rare.
