block timer lang and Eat Bulaga sa GMA7...the network can not control TAPE as to content as long as they pay the contracted amount to air the show on the platform...

Yes they cannot do anything about it.. pero may effect yan sa programming nila.. kahit pa sabihin na bayad yung airtime.. bumaba agad stock price nila after the announcement.. by 2 pesos din yun

for their own benefit and for the benefit of GMA, TAPE Inc. should just change the name of the show and start brand new - kahit anong gawin nila, kahit magdemandahan at manalo sila to retain the rights on Eat Bulaga branding, Eat Bulaga will always be synonymous to TVJ ... pati yung mga artista tuloy na bagong host at obviously nangangailangan lang ng trabaho e naba-badmouth na rin ... this also reflects negatively to GMA since those are their own talents

GMA network is very strong on the news and public affairs programs, their entertainment side is years behind the ABS CBN network....
the TAPE inch, which is the owner of Eat Bulaga is a block time and still under contract till 2024, they simply can not compete with ABS CBN in the entertainment arena...

Yup, technically, GMA is out of this, as TAPE is a blocktimer.

as a block timer, GMA is assured of income, kumita man or hinde ang TAPE inc. it is up to TAPE inc. to come up with sales in terms of advertising, there is a symbiotic relationship with viewers, aka ratings and advertising, one thought the other is nonsense, and the program can be killed easy, it only takes for the advertisers to pull out of the show, even if the show rates...

MVP dropped Willie Revillame ng nakahalata na ginagatasan lang sya,,,,ditto with Villar....
same principle applied with the Dabarkads, deliver profits or they will get sacked....

Ang maganda lang sa laban ng 3 noontime shows, may choices ang viewers at maraming mga artista nagka-trabaho. At sana matapos na ang network war. Nakita ko may guesting ng mga GMA stars sa showtime.
 Although kung ako yung Tape /Eat bulaga ng mga jalosjos, ma-o-offend ako na grabe ang welcome ng GMA sa showtime. E sila ang may ilang taon na contract sa main channel pero walang ganitong hype.
Yung tvj sa tv5, ang haba ng intro pero ang liit ng stage at walang exciting na nangyari. Di ko pa nga sure kung ano ang title.

Nabanggit ni Tito Sen yan. Di pa lumilitaw si Isko. Nabanggit nya na isa raw sa ayaw nya na gustong gawin ng mga Jalosjos yung gagamitin daw nilang platform yang Jalosjos eat bulaga as political platform. So totoo nga kse lumilitaw na si Isko. Need kse ni Isko maging visible ulit for the next election. Tapos asahan pa na madami pang politicians na lilitaw dyan sa Jeat bulaga.

In all fairness, si Tito Sotto pag nag campaign sya naka leave sya dyan. Tapos pag nanalo sya di na sya lumilitaw sa program. Also wala namang ibang TVJ and dabarkads na tumakbo sa politics and very clean ang old bulaga dahil wala silang pinapanigan na kahit sinong candidate nor any political leaning.

thank you Marcoleta, Remulla, Defensor, Cayetano and the rest of the 70 who denied the ABS CBN franchise on a whim of Burat....

the network must have seen that if ABS CBN falls, they will likewise fall....
what we are seeing is a protective collaboration of networks...
these networks know that franchise alone will not do, look at AllTV, they got the franchise of ABSCBN but they had to close shop, Villar must have realized how Willie have been milking them dry.....just as what Willie did with MVP, these are businessmen, they will protect their money at all costs.....
when ABS CBN stopped their nationwide new coverage, people were hungry for news...

Which is probably why GMA already partnered w/ ABS-CBN with It’s Showtime in their affiliate channel GTV. This is probably in preparation for 2024 when TAPE’s blocktime contract w/ GMA would expire. Am sure both parties are simply honoring their contracts. With the way TAPE has been managing this “new” show, in a few more weeks they’ll pile up loses.

Once the contract w/ TAPE expires, GMA can easily slide It’s Showtime in their Mother Network
