Topic: Clear up on the LOTR EE DVDs Regioning

Were there R3 regions of these? I have the whole EE trilogy but they're R1. Unfortunately, I can't play them in my Asian PS3 Gusto ko pa naman sila mapanood ng upscaled

If there were R3 versions, do you know where to purchase them, or would anyone like to trade ther R3 versions for my R1 version? Thanks

i thnk there were no R3 versions of the ee released here in the phils.  i recall seeing a copy at astro pero it was also R1.

no R3 versions of the extended edition were released here in the PHilippines. However, i do recall that an R3 extended edition (bangkok) was released - a member here was selling a copy before.

I have a copy of the bangkok version (R3) bro, Whats the condition of your copy, packaging, discs, etc.? Is this the 12-disc boxset? when did you purchased your copy bro? Mine is in good conditon, watched once the FOTR and TTT, all the special feature discs and the ROTK are still unwatched, my boxset was well taken care of

I see, separate mo pala sya nabili. Akala ko boxset din like mine which i prefer. Anyway, have you tried playing them in a different dvd player?

I purchased mine too... But can't play on my pc. I want to have a boxed extended edition but can't find one here...  :'(  :'(  I already wen to different brancches of astro but I couldn't find a boxed set... I guess I'll be doomed!! Help me find one please!!???

what do you mean on a different DVD player? I checked the box, it indeed says region 3. I've tried it on a dedicated Region 3 player and a multi region player and it runs fine.
