yeah...R1. It's got a digital copy of the movie on the third disc that can be uploaded to your computer. useless for me...but the slipcase on that set is a beaut. Glossy black, thick carton.

i've got the 3-disc already so i guess i'm not getting this.. i hope hindi lang commentary yung feature for this steelbook para sulit naman..

Yey! Nice! I haven't picked up my copy at QCPO yet. Can't wait to get it next week!

But darn! I still want the steelbook edition. But I must resist the temptation. The immediate future is littered with hot DVD releases!

same here. i just pre-booked at pinoydvd.biz a couple of minutes of ago. i called astro festival asking about the prebooking but said they didn't have that... baka daw sa ibang branch lang ng astro. bakit ganun? ganun ba talaga sya ka-limited?

the other R3 steelbook editions have already been released.. the Korean one was released early April and the Thai one was released April 30th.. interesting to note though that both editions, the steelbook case that is, are UK imports based on the pictures.. you can see pics here for the Thai edition and here for the Korean one..

FYI THE AMERICAN GANGSTER is R2 DVD not R3. as indicated on the steelbook packaging

Probably the discs were replaced with an R3 version and the steelbook itself is the only manufactured design for it.

i believe this is the case.. the Thai and Korean editions of the steelbook have the ratings logo as well but the discs are R3 discs..
