Topic: Best Video connection survey

I'm not really sure what's the best video connection from the following. I hope you guys can help me.
a. HDMI
b. VGA
c. RCA
d. s-Video
e. Component

hmmm... subjectively...
-HDMI doesn't have the best video output all the time but I prefer to use this when using a DVD/upscaling player.
-Component, I use this when HDMI doesn't produce the correct aspect ratio on the screen or when HDMI output is  grainy
-VGA, I use this with an HTPC
- Svideo and RCA , I don't usually use this anymore, as the above three clearly produces superior picture output.

But I'd probably rank it this way.

1.  HDMI == Component == VGA
2. Svideo
3. RCA
