The waiting is a real pain but at least the repairs are on their way albeit slowly.

we're short of construction workers due to many repair works going on at the same time. some even hire workers from nearby places like cebu. also, the material cost sky rocketed from the local hardware. but now slowly trickling back and hoping the price will normalize soon.

thanks sir nelson.

i am again out of the country working, same last year. hope hindi kasing lakas ng yolanda ngayon kung mag landfall man siya. kakatapos lang nag install ng roof tiles sa bahay baka ilipad na naman yon, huwag sana.

hi george,

yes, got the roofs fixed last month.

hoping the typhoon diverts its course upwards. or if ever it makes landfall it won't be as strong as haiyan.

Good to hear your repairs are done & hope you don't incur too much damage with these new storms. I'll be able to see how my house stands up before we move in  :)

thanks bro.

mukhang talsik nalang at di na centro ng eye of the storm ang ormoc . sana kumanan pa ng husto ang bagyo para walang lugar na matamaan.

this will be my next project soon, window and door shutters.

pix sa net yan sir napulot ko lang. yan ang gayahin ko na ilagay sa mga bintana at pinto.

mas safe ang maasin sir kasi nung yolanda di naapektuhan ang buong southern leyte.

back to HT with my little update.

got a mid-bass sub installed using an infinity kappa 12VQ driver in a 1.3 cuft sealed cabinet powered by ch-1 of behringer inuke3000 power amp. the ch-2 of the inuke amp is hooked to a JL Audio W7 driver in a 4.65 cuft slot ported cabinet. so, i now have 3 subs running including the SVS PB13 ultra. all subs are ran thru a mini DSP for crossover and eq.

yes, the miniDSP has 4 outputs. i'm using the balance miniDSP and 2.1 crossover software.

but, all-in-all balance na ang LFE sa room using 2 ported subs while the mid bass is enhanced with the sealed sub (cut at 40hz) placed in the middle of the 2 ported subs. i'm happy with my DIY subs, may challenge kasi :D

an update of my system late last year.

re-casing of the miniDSP to accomodate XLR connection

early 2015 update: Darbee Darblet DVP-5000

IMO, the Darblet is worth every penny especially with the newly discounted price. dunno why i waited this long to get it. image quality on the 120" screen dramatically improved. the sharpness i used to see on my 50" plasma is now back and enjoying it on a larger screen :)

Hi Weng,
Good to see you back in HT mode & your gears are looking fine   ;D.
BTW I like the idea of the shutters but for me would be for security purposes, something for me to look at once the dust has settled.

the JL is still housed in the kappa box. i don't have time to make it a poor man's fathom. though i have all the MDF wood ready for building the cabinet. maybe in the future when i have a spare time.

Updating my gallery.

The following are the gears I've acquired this year :)

Classic amps

Raspberry Pi4 streamer using Volumio app

NHT sub amp and Denon 3313

NHT powering a sealed 12" Infinity sub

Rotel pre and power amps, 2ch & 6ch

Rega Planar 1

With these vinyls for now and more coming 😀

B&W 602s3

Klipsch R-41M, bought cheap on Amazon at US$89 😜

A Yamaha set for my daughter

and lastly, a non-audiophille Bose AV321. Can't resist the cheap price that's why I bought it 😀

Oh btw, swapped the SVS bookshleves back to my old Wharfedale Evo LCR. The owner I've sold them want to downsize. Sound is still good together with the SVS dipole rear surrounds and SB1 surrounds.
