We need to get some silver-coated wires for Master Beginner. He's looking for that extra hint of crispness from the top two octaves.

I think he got used to the sound of my brittle-sounding system.

Yep... I'm missing that extra crispness. It's really hard to keep up with the standards I have set just because I heard Ivan's highest fi. So now I'll have to experiment (and probably spend more) and find the right speaker wires that would suit my listening preference... Hayyyy...

Low tech lang system ko Master Beginner. Too much treble hardness, huhuhu. Alang sinabi sa flagship system ni Master Nelson.

I noticed that PSB did tone down the tweets nung new Image. The older PSB speaks had more sizzle in the highs (except for the Synchrony line). I like the marvelous midrange, however. Kaya na ayusin sa kawad yan.

B6 sa Speaker A terminals, 685 sa Speaker B. Switch switch ka lang kung anong tunog gusto mo.

Lahat ng gears ko, Speykers pa lang ni Master Guru Ivan ang katumbas! Mabuti pa mamalimos tayo ng mga pinagsawaang high end gears ni Master Iva.

Master Ivan is right. get the B&Ws for your CA550a. Switch ka lang ng switch kagaya ni Master Ivan.

Haven't tried playing with the tone controls as I'm accustoming my ears to how the speakers sound with "direct" on. At least I would notice the difference if ever I play with the tone controls. Pero I would definitely hunt for a good set of speaker wires para naman mamaximize ko yung potential ng audio gears.

suggestion...... for speaker wires.... length= 8ft/pair
for interconnects .6m to 1m....i'm using .6m musical fidelity x-link no nonsense cable

or this............The Nu Vista cable line uses OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast) wire, silver for the interconnects and copper for the speaker cable.

if the system needs to wake up a bit or a bit more zip, the MF NuVista is a good move.

Master Raz,

DCM (in Cubao) might still have them (these MF interconnects and wires are from almost a decade ago). MF also had the budget X-LINX range (I think they also stopped selling them).

In case they no longer have these products there, they'd probably steer you towards their Acoustic Zen stuff anyway.

How's your 550a Guru Joey? And how about the 740c Master Nelson?

I finally got the B6 to sing well with my 550a/c. No toe-in was necessary. Just had to find that good ol' sweet spot and correct placement of speakers. Now, I'm a happy camper.

Glad to be a part of the prestigious CA family headed by our beloved president, si Master Ivan "The Audio Guru God" Stagea who have fully mastered the qualities and characteristics of every C.A. gear. Iba talaga ang major stockholder.

Nakay Master Stagea mga "carribean" files ko.

I used my vintage onkyo muna as pre-amp. They blended well naman kaso they're not impedance matched though may gain naman in terms or volume or db. A little bit above normal listening levels, may slight distortion na. Speakers na lang.

mga 8-16 ohms pwede na.

Lokoloko ka Guru Nelson. Outreach program mo yan to feel yung suffering naming mga jologs na jejemon. Yung receiver ko nga pag sindi imbes na "Hello" ang greeting, lumalabas sa screen "e0W!"

Salamat sa mga carribean files mo, medyo madami din ako nakopya... mostly mga galing Chung Kuo.

Buy na ng speaker master! Aside from nominal impedance and sensitivity, kung may makuha kang impedance and phase plots nung speaker, mas maganda. Pwede kasing 8 ohms nominal ang rating nung speaker, pero malaking part pala ng frequency spectrum is around 3 ohms siya at pwedeng highly capacitive pa (hell for most tube amps).

Multitap ba yung speaker outs ng power amp mo? or single tap lang?

Single tap lang. Dunno if it would be cost effective to have the tranny rewired for multi-tap. And even if may power amp has 8 ohm tap, i still dunno if i could find a speaker that would match in term of wattage.

Mahirap kasi yan pinasok mo hehehe. Baka may makita kang NOS speakers (ang hirap humanap). O kaya build ka ng multiple driver array.

Klipsch RB-81 baka type mo.

Pero alam ko pang La Scala ka talaga.

Mga sir, need your input. Right combo kaya if mag cambridge audio 840e pre amp ako then nad c375 as my power amp feed to my B&W 683? I'l be using my DAC Magic for my pioneer source. Nakakatempt ang Cambridge Audio...

Pwede naman, baka mabawasan yung boom nung c375. Of course it's best na subukan mo muna.

Since di naman naglalayo presyo, try mo din 840A. Biamp mo na lang, 840A sa highs, C375 sa lows. Medyo effort lang sa integration kasi magkaiba ng character at baka magkaron ng phase issues. Pero rewarding din kasi matakaw sa current yung 683.
