Narinig ko yung Audio Analogue Maestro Duecento Integrated at Maestro CD Player dati with Dynaudio Sapphire, bagay din sila. Mabigat lang talaga sa bulsa din dahil halos 2M ata ang system na yun. Para sakin eh reasonable high end siya (kasi kaya pa bilhin ng middle class kung gugustohin), pero yung mga ibang exotica ngayon eh nakakalula masyado ang mga presyo.

so i lugged my ca550a to 5th ave annex earlier. told them of the distortion on the left channel. then they hooked it up and tested it. lo and behold the distortion was gone. so i asked them if they could send it to the service center to be checked. sabi nila pag wala raw nakita ibabalik labng din nila without even opening the unit.

so i said i'll just take it home and call them when it happens again. so i got home and there it is again. ok so i applied some elimination. instead of the cd player i hooked up my ipod via an LOD that i checked works and used earphones and there it was, clear as day distortion on the left channel. what am i to do if i bring it there wala naman nakikitang problema? so far LOD and power chord lang ang nakakabit sa amp. could it be na yung power cord ang problem? dalawa yung supplied na power chord and both yields the same result = disortion on the left channel.

Anong klaseng distortion po ba yan? Nasubukan niyo na po ba ang ibang source?

sabog yung bass. parang basag yung speakers. i've tried cd players, blu ray players, dvd players, ipod, nmt. switched cables, speakers, surge protectors, voltage regulators, even tried various wall sockets in the house. i run all these equipment on my pioneer vsx 520 and everything is just fine.

na try mo na ba brader sa ibang speakers?? o sa warf 9.3 mo lang ginagamit?
may distortion din ba even if you use speaker B terminals? or parehong may distorion even at speaker A terminals?
have you tried reversing polarity sa speaker cable ng left channel?

tried everything bro. switched speakers, speaker channels, speaker wires and kahit naka headphones andun yung distortion. tried various sources and interconnects na rin

already made a video of the issue using various sources and switching cables and speakers. kaso baka bukas pa ko makapunta at may tinatapos pa kong work. ang weird lang kasi is when i brought the amp to 5th ave yesterday malinis naman yung tunog. the only thing different was that i wasn't able to bring the power chords to 5th ave yesterday so i'm thinking baka yun din ang problema. wala nga lang akong ibang power cables to use on the amp. hope this gets sorted out by tomorrow so i could get back to enjoying my regular programming. di na rin kasi ako satisfied makinig ng music through my AVR

The power cable should not do that, especially not to a single channel. Patignan mo na lang, or iwan mo for them to inspect.

power cord. wilcon.... i went there to look for an adaptor. 160 pesos, beside it was a rice cooker power cord - that says audio. specs. 3x.8.. mm(shielded) 179. pesos only. color grey. 10 amps - nema 5 plug.

went home and took out the the power cord of the 550a 3x.75mm. gave the rice cooker power cord a chance. ..fits well! no need for adaptor. went back to wilcon to get one for my turntable.

by the way the shielding of the rice cooker cord looks better. i opened the standard cord plug with the fuse(that came with the 550a) and saw no extra shielding between the pvc jacket and 3 wires.

baka nga. kasi the male and female meron mga 1-2mm space kang makikita when connected(well seated)amp side. baka nailubog mo sobra. lumuwag female, meron 2 screws female, check mo baka lumuwag. use proper tools.

kung ground. maririnig mo without playing cds/source. power on volume up. meron ugong/o naibang tunog sa speaks. so amp and speaks nalang pwede mangaling yung problema.

check fuse(5A) nung power cord.

that happened sa marantz 74d ko..kaya lang yung problema galing sa volume control. pag di galing dito....aray. pwedeng sa power supply o circuitry. di tama bato ng power sa circuit. o circuit may sira,ground,dumi. kakahilo eto.
ingat sa experimento,baka may madamay na ayos na gamit.

sana contact issue lang yan.

brought the amp to 5th ave kanina and yun andun nga yung distortion so naka confine ngayon yung 550a ko and will take 2 weeks daw. tyaga tyaga muna mag sounds sa vsx 520

may clearance sale ng cambridge audio products sa 5th avenue until april 15. up to 40% daw. also on sale are yamaha products. wala pang go ahead signal to get a cd player from the CO pero i'll still check this out

Entry level lang naudition ko sa 5th ave sm north sir. I think punta ako kay MLY to try it side by side with other integrated amp. Para matesting ma rin how it is with rtia3 that im planning to pair it with.

350A? Did you get to compare it with the older Marantz? How did you find them?

Had a chance to listen to the 650A for a few minutes yesterday. Sadly, wala silang ibang integrated amp on display to compare it with so I didn't stay that long na rin. And wala na din yung sale sabi sa akin. Marantz and Yamaha integrated amps are still on sale but order basis so hindi rin pwede marinig.

heck.......this 550a is really a hell of an integrated...feed it well it will bring much joy...i partnered it with mezzo 2 and 540p and an old gemini pt 2000 II w/ shure white label.(setting 5mm height w the white label and a notch forward/2.0 g tracking force)

was thinking of upgrades...but this damn integrated keeps on making my ears happy..

was sidetracked by so many audio stuff.....and such.......vinyl just makes music so pleasing to the ear...........

... looks like a dac or dedicated cd player next so my bd player can rest and start playing movies.
