I heard Magnavision is releasing a limited edition Steel Case for the video release of Cloverfield. I'll check if I can get a picture from them and will post it here.

No specific date yet as per Magna but it's slated for a May 2008 release

Cloverfield steelbox shipment are in! I think they're rushing to distribute this to video stores already.

My friend showed me the actual steelcase, looks good. Can't wait to get my copy.

Haha, I'm not sure though but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll be available by this weekend or early next week.

Magna? Highly unlikely, at least 895. That's my guess, but happy to be proven wrong. :-)

Php 750 would be a dream. Php 895 is acceptable. But not above Php 999, since American Gangster Steelbook is a 2-discer.

All standard single disc releases of Magna are pegged at P695. Expect it to be higher if a steel case is included.

Indy Jones Trilogy R3 Steelbook is $38.99 from the same site, and it's just 1200 here. So maybe it could still be under a P1,000. Fingers crossed.

already got a copy of limited edition steelcase of Cloverfield at astro. available na. cool packaging...looks great

already bought a copy coz according to them limited quantity lang ang pinarating nila. great for my collection!

How much? I am wary of the term 'Limited Quantity' na because save for the 300 with mask, wala namang talagang 'Limited' na naging hard-to-find in a few months. Still, will spring for this one when I see it at my local Astro...

Yeah, how much and in which branch did you buy this? Mamaya sa Promenade lang na naman. Ayoko nang pumunta ng Greenhills just for this.

It's real man. It's available in Astro SM Makati and the DVD sale outside Odyssey Park Square 1. Php 999. Also available in regular Amaray casing for Php 695.

I think there are 5 copies in Astro SM Makati when I passed by early this afternoon. 4 na lang, since I bought one. In Odyssey Park Square 1 (the sale outside the store), I saw 2. I don't know how limited this would be.

Initial stocks seems more limited than previous steelboooks, but if it's a hit, Magnavision will surely reorder them, just as they did with Transformers.

At my local Astro, it's already out of stock. They got one Cloverfield Steelbook and guess who bought it?

I noticed that too. The same with The Indy Trilogy Steelbook, the 'steel' 'creak' unlike previous Steelbook (American Gangster, Transformer, 300) where the steelbook fit snug tight.

I'd estimate that there were about ten copies at The Block when I went there last night.
