A heads-up.

Somebody made software that will allow older NMTs like the A-100 to support DTS downmix.

any on you guys here listen to mp3 using the a-100? i have problems with mine, the sound is distorted when playing mp3 or streaming internet radio. the sound is really bad even the volume is set to the lowest audible setting. i am using HDMI cable from the a-100 to a denon 2308 receiver. is there a setting to be changed? this issue is non-existent though when watching movies.

New Firmware is out!

Release Date : 24 March 2010
Firmware Version : 01-17-100317-15-POP-402-000

1. Requires NMT apps 00-17-091216-15-POP-402
2. Fixed file copy over 4GB from FAT filesystem will hang
3. Added show % during for firmware update download
4. New Transmission BT client 1.75 (need new NMT app installed)
5. Added trickmode (pause, FF, volume) for RTSP, where applicable
6. Add special characters handling for WiFi SSID
7. Added Shoutcast Internet radio
8. Fixed NFS cannot read some folders when root level contain many folders
9. Added Arabic (CP1256) external subtitle support.
10. Fixed colorspace for SD/HD file playback
11. Added missing Slovenian subtitle language

Tanong ko lang kung pano po ba pabilisin yung download speed using Popcorn hour A-100.. Ang internet connection ko po is Globe 2mbps, pag nagddownload ako using PC ang speed ko is 200-250kb/s, pero kapag popcorn hour ang gamit ko minsan 2kb/s lang tapos ang max 40kb/s..

My router is WRT110..

You may need to setup port forwarding on your router.

Again medyo technical pero what needs to be done is to find the ports the A-100 uses sa torrent application niya and make your router forward packets it gets from the outside internet directly to the IP address of the A-100.

Also take note a network appliance will never be as fast as a PC for torrents. Sobrang bitin yung CPU niya so if you're watching a movie with it, sigurado babagal yung built-in BT.

Pano po ba mag portforward using my router WRT110 and popcorn hour? kagabi pa kasi me naghahanap wala me makita.. Yung port po ng A-100 ko is 8881. Baka po may makatulong. Thanks

got another problem, pag nagwwatch ako minsan ng movie, naghahang yung screen pero may sounds pa din.. tapos pag nag stop at nag play ulit, nauuna yung sounds sa video.. please help.. thanks

If the PCH A-100 is doing other tasks while your are watching (ex. downloading torrents), meron chance mag-stutter yung playback. That's normal because you are limited by your unit's CPU.

Also the Sigma chip inside the 100 series is limited to 42Mb/s so if you have content that have high bitrates for sure mag-stutter yan.

Sa akin 720p perfect siya pero sa 1080p medyo naabot ko na yung limits what it could do that's why I upgraded na.

hindi po nagddownload ng torrent.. namimili po sya ng movie, yung ibang movie ok naman po.. pero kapag The Crazies, 2 Fast 2 Furious, or some movies, nagloloko sya pag nag forward or rewind ka.. Itry ko gawin 720p, naka automatic kasi ako..

Always set the video to what your display can do. Don't leave it on auto.

Naka C200/A200 ako ngayon.

sorry super newbie question i was trying to do some back reading on this thread but cant seem to find the answer to my question

the popcorn a100 runs on ide . i currently have that installed but i plan to put in a normal 3.5 sata 1tb or 2tb (if supported inside). how do i go about this. is there any adaptor you can recommend and how much would it cost

I reverted back my F/W to October 2008 since this is the firmware that offers the fastest torrent downloads. Sluggish ang remote response sa august 2010 F/w. The latest firmware also has not solved network stutter video play which is coming from my med500. Kainis!!

This should show you the torent downloader where you can upload valid torrents

also make sure your PC and A-100 are in same workgroup

Actually what I have is A-210 but I'm assuming it's similar to how A-100 works also. Workgroup in A-210 can be changed in NMT Apps screen I believe.
