Taiwan Kolin to Start Production of Blu-ray Players
The Chinese newspaper Economic Daily News has revealed that the Taiwan-based manufacturer Taiwan Kolin will begin production of a Blu-ray player during the third quarter of this year. Those consumers in the US will be more familiar with the Olevia brand of products that the player will most be sold under.

Kolin will source pick-up heads and chip sets from Sharp (which strengthens their position in the Blu-ray market as the leading producer of Blu-ray pick-ups) and pricing is expected to be around $977, though that number is likely to shrink as more and more Blu-ray players are announced.

If its less than $300 perhaps people will try it out otherwise they rather buy the panasonic BD-50
