What are the advantages of Skycable over Destiny? I know they are the same company already but need to choose within the week.

The channels of the wifey are on Destiny without additional charges unlike Sky, thats my problem right now.

I asked this last night (while subscribing to the P299 Mayweather Maidana PPV).  I already have 2 HD boxes.  A 3rd HD box will only be P390 one-time charge, plus montly of P250.  Nag mura na nga.  I will consider adding another box...

what should be the format for the external hdd to work in irecord?

I just use my regular Windows-formatted HDD and it works without any problems.

Got a free upgrade on my Sky bundle subscription. Sky broadband speed upgrade from 1.5 Mbps to 3 Mbps. Instant upgrade activation done via Sky log-in. Upgrade done in less than 10 minutes.

Downside, my Sky cable discount went down from 15% to 10%. Not complaining, though.

Check your Digibox mail...

I also have one more freebie from Sky, HBO Go Asia. I'll have this activated later.

Sir, before upgrading, check if the higher bandwidth comes with capping.
My parent's Globe unlimited/uncapped broadband was upgraded from 1Mbps to 3Mbps but with a catch -- 3GB/day cap. They don't normally tell you about the capping part -- you'll just know in the end.

We have Sky Cable Dual Def 499 and Sky Broadband 1.5 Mbps @Php 999. I think they no longer offer 1.5 Mbps. The minimum speed is 3 Mbps @Php 999 if you are an existing Sky cable subscriber. Lock-in period is 12 months instead of 24 months for new Sky broadband subscriber with existing Sky cable subscription.

If you didn't receive a mail in your digibox, try calling Sky. I think it will still be applicable to you. Natuwa lang ako since after agreeing on the T&Cs sa mySky account, the modem resetted by itself and when I ran speed test, yun na 2.95 Mbps yung result. All done via internet.

Also check if your lock in period will reset.

That's what happened when we upgraded bayandsl from 1.5 to 3mbps, the lock in period was back to zero.

Just had mine upgraded to 3MBPS online.  I called up my son to ask if he noticed anything different in our broadband and he said video downloading is faster -- no more buffering.  Nice!!

Wala na ba yung feature na mag seset ka ng reminder at a specified show then automatic na siyang lilipat pag palabas na siya?

ang bilis ng paginstall nila wala pang 15mins tapos na. i already have skybroadband kaya mabilis lang  ;D ;) :)





maganda ang signal ng HD channels nila at swerte ako sunod sunod ang magagandang palabas

Would anyone know how to reset the digibox? I was looking at the settings of our digibox and i saw it was set at 1080i. When I changed it to 1080p, the signal disappeared. I've unplugged the digibox but when I plug it, after I see the skycable logo and the message "checking smartcard 107 - 04" the signal disappears and after a minute I'll just see an image every 30 seconds.

^ Sir, I'd recommend that you call the SkyCable Hotline na lang so they can reset it remotely for you.. One way or another, I believe kailangan din nila i-refresh yung card/box niyo to unlock your subscribed channels after resetting.  (02) 381-0000

Can SkyCable HD digibox outputs dolby digital? Fox premium channel has dolby but i dont if its dolby digital.

It happens.  Just go the MENU > SCAN CHANNELS > AUTO SCAN

All channels will appear again.
