Maganda talaga yun dual def 999 for kids. Meron din disney hd.. i might switch back to 999. There are a few channels i like in 1999. I might just do a la carte.

Ask ko lang mga boss, sa HD digibox, may resolution settings din kasi dito sa digibox ng skycable. Ano settings nyo dito, yung resolution ng broadcast ng skycable in HD which is 1080i or yung resolution ng TV nyo na either 1080p or 720p?

Meron na ata setting sa 1080p sa box. Your tv should be 1080p. I recently set my box to 1080p. Accepted it naman. I have to double check

I use 1080i. Sky Cable recommends 1080i > 720p daw

That said, I tried comparing the two settings on Fox Movies Premium. I didn't notice a difference........or baka mahina lang mata ko haha xD

You must have the latest Verimatrix set-top box (e.g. Sky Cable calls it a 'hybrid' box......kasi pwede may Irdeto Smart Card or pwede wala). I think those newer boxes allow for 1080p

Kasi po ang default settings ng sky when i get the box is 1080i... Pero may option dun na pwede mo sya e switch sa 1080p.. But i didnt notice the difference..or baka mahina lang din mata ko hehe..., i have a samsung full hd which supports 1080p resolution....

1) what MODEL is your HD-Box?
2) kung meron setting for 1080p then set mo nalang sa 1080p
3) if you don't notice any difference then it doesn't hurt, kung pareho lang I would leave the setting to 1080p

All i know is black hd digibox sya na pede ako mag i record...
Pero i cant change other channels if im currently recording a specific show..

- Good to know that the HD-box do havea setting for 1080p
- I will inquire and request for the box that is capable to output 1080p and can do i-Record (malaking tulong ito dahil minsan late night ang mga magagandang TV shows tulog na ibang member ng family, we can all watch it on weekend kung pwedeng mag record)
- SALAMAT bro, next week kasi schedule ko for Dual-Def install

Bad trip, we lost Sky service here at Pasig. Cut fiber cable along Mercedes Ave daw, hit by a truck. Estimated time of restoration is 830-9pm tonight. Was itching to watch replay of this morning's NBA games.

Wow something cool. They are showing now in ch 167 abscbn hd, okc vs. Orlando magic. Hd siya pero maliit ang picture. Black bars on all 4 corners. Pero puede na hehe.

Unless the team you're following isn't televised on either of those channels, you can watch them on BTV, SD nga lang.

Akala ko sa ABS CBN HD eh yung NBA, HD na kasi sa commercial full screen. Yun pala di pa full screen sa actual airing.

Kasama na ang NBA Premium sa Dual Def 999. Kaya bumaba ang bill namin. Nagulat ako I have Fox Sports HD when I only subscribed to Fox Sports 2 HD ala carte for the MLB Postseason. Sabi ko nga 1 month lang since I don't watch those channels and binablack out nila kung UFC (because of Balls?).

On another note:
What kind of a channel name is "BALLS"? Nakakaidiot talaga ang ABS-CBN/Lopez at times. Pati channel name palpak. Kabobohan amf

Oh and imho, sana ma-expire ang contract ng ABS-CBN for UFC..........para UFC can be aired on Fox Sports Asia (Philippines).

- Tomorrow is my scheduled installation so I just called their horrific customer hotline/service to confirm (REMIND them) hindi daw tuloy dahil kelangan pa daw nila ng Barangay Clearance at tinanung ko kung kelan sila nag request, KANINA lang pala sila nag request!

- PI na service yan! bukas na ang scheduled install ehh ngayon lang sila nag request?!?! at hindi ko pa malalaman kung hindi ako tumawag (diba sila ang dapat tumawag sa akin to inform/advise their customer?!?)

- PUNYETA ka SkyCable naghihintay pala ako sa wala

Pasensyan na po kayo - ayaw ko lang maranasan nyo ang ganitong klaseng serbisyo

Sorry about your experience.

But to be fair, Skycable had been exceptional in my location in taguig.

They kept appointments and went back everytime i requested additional service. They assign a specific concierge per customer; mine went of his way to help even if it was a weekend.

Remember that the installation are subcontracted. Malas ka seguro sa location mo.

Yup yun nga lang.

The installation teams kasi are subcontracted. The team that handled ours was Transmission Specialists Inc. (near Starmall Mandaluyong). Okay naman..........although wala pa sila stock ng Verimatrix STB.

In our case, it took three tries sa amin:
1st try - di gumagana yung GPS satnav sa service vehicle nila kaya di nahanap ung location namin
2nd try - naubusan ng box for that day
3rd try - they came noong morning pero wala kami sa bahay. They promised na babalik sila pero they got stuck sa CEMBO Makati.

Thankfully, the 4th time is the charm.

At least it was worth the wait imho =)
